@A2ZOMG Because the show is about "Brother and Sister relationship" and The Busybody Brother not about Otaku culture. You're expecting the wrong thing. It's already clear from the title that's it's about "sisters".
it's never about Otaku Culture but more about how Kyosuke solves the problem related to it. Otaku culture is only used as a plot device
Examples from the PSP VN
Saori route -> Saori is engaged to a 40 year old, the guy wants her to stop her hobbies. Kyosuke comes in to try and convince Saori to make her own decision.
Ayase Route -> Ayase asks Kyosuke to help her understand more about the Otaku culture, so that she can get closer to Kirino.
Kuroneko -> Insist about making her doujin on her own, in result neglecting her social life. Kyosuke comes in and helps so that she can be more social while making her doujin.
