Seriously check on my latest update before my earlier post. I check VNDB like almost everyday.

Nah, it's a totally new improved one, that will make my life busier trying to re-list them from My votes. There was no "status selection" till the 2nd for the info page.

I'm just kinda pissed that they split it into 2 sections, while in the past Votes=VN list

the one that is gone now, is the wishlist. which was useless, cause somebody won;t even check it.

Now I have to maintain 2 lists.

Honestly how much anime have you watched, what made you think that they're overused in the first place.

How would you define overused when you haven't seen them all?
My watch list haven't even touched a 1000 yet there's a total around 5000 animes.

It's like "complaining that you've seen too many Asians in the USA, even though you haven't visited every state"

Of course you would be correct if you phrase it within a limited time slot. Like "animes that range in 2009-2010 has too many beach scenes."

Lol, VNDB just added an option to be more spesific on your VN list.

They added it like MAL's list.

-Stalled
etc etc... man..

this means I need to update the list again.. man...351 VNs to be updated...

In the end it all depends on what you're playing.

Eroge are always VN, but VN are not always eroge
don't get that mixed together.

If you're playing something that is sex-oriented, expect it to have over the top amount of H-scenes and vise-versa for non sex-oriented ones.

It's not about whether a VN needs a H-scene or not it's about The way of utilizing and the amount of it

Like fiero said, Seasons of Sakura was one of the nicest example, and Fate/stay Night used it as a plot device which means it wasn't forced (the anime omitted for obvious reason).

@typewrite The problem of your annoyance is you've been playing TOO much sex oriented VNs, compared to the one that are not. that's why you got the illusion that H-scenes are annoying when you clearly want something more light in flavor.

Try playing ones that does not make H-scenes a "everyday" thing, but H-scenes that makes you feel that you accomplished something.

this can also work when you're playing a BDSM VN, where making the heroine your sex slave is an accomplishment... lol
one other funny example, I just played 2 NTR VNs, and getting the "non-NTR" ending is the same level of getting a bad ending, while the NTR ending is the "True End".

I just had this dream/illusion that I was being piined down by one of my local ghost, and I know it's one of those Sleep paralyzing thing...

Man I can still remember it, which sucks, because I don't know if I was dreaming or was hallucinating.

The only thing I remember was while I was laying, I looked to my right side, Saw the ghostly figure, then it pinned me down, and the paralyze thing kicks in... lol

I had some Lucid dreams in the past, where I'm aware of what I do, and what was happening, but I can never control my dream, only my actions.

That only happens in less than 10 animes... not overused.

Like I said, watch more animes, especially for your case, School life animes.
