I played quite a lot of Japanese only console games.
Like for example
-Mahou Sensei NEgima Jikanme 1 & 2 (there's actually 5)
It's a nice combination of "teaching", Dating sim, and "action game"
-Sakura taisen 1 to 5
Basically one of the best games SEGA has ever made, it's underrated it's dating sim, despite it has good story/drama, and good Strtegy game.
