well, I already played almost all of them in that poll, excluding Rance (technical), three Sisters (technical), Time stripper Mako, etc (technical means I have it but can't play ut to the "Ancientness" of the game)

well, honestly Princess Maker is the one I like. I even played the 4th of the series, that is supervised by Gainax, and same illustrator with sister Princess.

and don't forget that Amuro himself has enlisted in 2 wars other than the One year War. when he fought as a Karaba Guerrilla Member with the AEUG, and the other is when he fought with Londo Bell. well, there's another one in Gundam Evovle, but the OVA was too short, so it doesn't have any value than Amuro getting another mobile suit before Nu gundam, the MSZ-006-3 Zeta Gundam "White Unicorn".

about the funnels VS Dragoon system:
I said that Dragoon's movement are heavily controlled by Computer processing is because (maybe this is only limited to the anime) I have never seen them move autonomous by themselves, but more like with Kira's high Information processing skills, allow him to input those pin-point targets into a high-end computing system. After the DRAGOONS have their order the move to attack, but after firing once either it was a miss or a hit the Dragoon will follow the next order that has been inputted to their "mission log"
So, the only thing I usually see is
Release Dragoon -> approach target -> shoot when it is in range -> goes back to Mobile Suit

where as a Funnel that has been controlled by their Pilot brainwave have a semi-autonomous character, that they will adjust to the circumstances that have confronted with them.

you can see the behavior of a Funnel that is controlled by a newtype at this video at 1:03



you can see that even funnels can fight themselves.

so IMO Funnels win over DRAGOON

did you really read both powers definition in detail?

Newtype = Newtypes have an extremely high degree of spatial awareness. Some but not all, are capable of empathically detecting other Newtypes, and are sensitive to the hostile intentionsdirected at them by others, allowing them to uncannily preemptively react to such dangers.

More powerful Newtypes also exhibit telepathic and telekinetic abilities

Coordinator (SEED mode) = SEED mode represents the ability for an individual with the SEED factor to enter into a state of enhanced awareness and peak physical ability. While in this state, the person demonstrates heightened reflexes and extremely quick information processing.

While a person with a SEED mode can enhance his physical abilities, this doesn't make a Newtype weak because he can also train to become as fast and smart as a coordinator, where as a coordinator cannot get a newtype ability at all.

Like my latest post about this Multi-locking, is not an ability or a skill. It's a technology. Even a Macross Pilot with the latest Valkyrie can also do this.

Have you ever seen Amuro and Char fight in Char's Counter Attack?
you can see that the level of controlling the Fin funnels and bit funnels is high enough that even though Nu Gundam and Sazabi is clashing Beam Sabre, the Fin funnel and Bit funnel controlled by them can even fight on their own. evading and counter-attacking beam shots, like it has it's own will. Newtypes send their brainwaves directly to the funnels.

Where as when a coordinator uses it's Dragoon it's more like an extension of the unit's range attack, since most of them only control them to shoot at pin point targets that has already been locked by the weapons system and high-end computer processing.

I got to say, he has some radical sense in his designs and even in the story of his H-manga itself. lol
