Yup, it looks like God of WAr or DMC, but I really like the sidescrolling system. and my favorite was maybe Aria of sorrow, and Dawn Sorrow. since you play Dracula's incarnation himself, and has the ability to absorb Monsters soul, to make it your own power.

Summer Days is not a sequel of School Days, and so does Cross Days.
in Cross days, Makato is only a extra character, a new boy (forgot name) is the new main character.
The timeline in Cross days is almost the same with school days, it even can be said a paralel time.
