I'll show my age in this story. I was 16 (a few days from 17) and was eating some cereal when I was watching it all unfold. The first tower had just been hit and I saw the second one crash in real time. It's hard to believe this was 9 years ago. I am sick of how every year they have these gigantic analysis programs all day and replay the footage not-stop.
I think the answer for most people here is "too much", regardless of location.

^Speaking strictly for myself, I don't believe because I see no reason to. I've never been a believer at any stage in my life and I've gotten along just fine. Intangible threats (such as things that happen to me after I die) are hardly scary to me. That "buttlicker" Professor Hawking is certainly not as bright as Ray "Banana" Comfort. /sarcasm
I think there will lots of paranoia that will cause people to commit crimes, act stupid and generally be pests. I don't think the world will end though. Honestly, I think the worst thing that will happen will be stuff that people do in response to their fears that something will happen.

Sometimes. I'm behind on reading some Anthropology stuff that I really don't want to read and there's a test on Thursday. Prof. is pretty quiet about what type of questions there will be... so I'm not really prepared. "grumbles"
I don't have any kind of Autism or Asperger's Syndrome, but I am diagnosed with a fairly severe anxiety/OCD disorder and this really causes me grief on a regular basis.
I get most of mine off the web these days (from official sites/sources) but even then I take everything I come across skeptically and with a grain of salt.
