My cousin told me his computer had died today. I went over to his place and it seems to really have died. Whenever it starts up, there are many blue dots evenly spaced all over the boot screens, and it will often blue screen, saying something about the display driver and Windows restarting to protect something or another. Also, sometimes it will not display anything at all, even the BIOS screen. A few days prior to this he had gotten infected with a trojan horse and several other viruses. The anti-virus software he has said it removed it, but that might be too much of a coincidence not to be considered as a factor.
Earlier, he had taken to a computer repair place and they said it looks to be something wrong with the graphics card. They attempted to boot into safe mode and reinstall the driver, which was successful, but the same action keeps repeating. Blue dots into Blue screen. Every now and again it will work and load the windows, but the display will either look weird or it will be too slow to do anything. Some errors come up about Active x controls and information screens about how the driver crashed and windows will attempt to fix.
The computer place said for $50 they will diagnose what the problem is exactly. Our plan is that if it's the card that is at fault, to just buy a new one, then format the drive and reinstall the OS. If it's just the OS, then just format and reinstall the OS.
I figured I would just say this to see what you guys think. Should we go ahead with our plan or do you guys have something better in mind?

@holic my displeasure of this game is the fear of the risk of DMC forever becoming this monstrosity.I don't think he would stay in this teenage form for the entire series. That would bottleneck the writers. I definitely hope as well as many others I'm sure, that he gets out of his teens and into his mid 20's. It's way too early to be worried though. We know little to nothing about the game yet. When they announce that the game will be played with a Justin Bieber soundtrack, then we can curse it's very existence.

Except, Ninja Theory/Capcom is stupid enough not to learn from the mistakes of Sucker Punch and Infamous 2.I would like for a character change. I don't love this current design, but I don't hate it either. He definitely looks like he's crazy and strung out though, which I like. I was so glad when they brought back the old Cole from Infamous and un-Nathan Drake'd him. Going as far as to reference this Dante to Twilight characters is too far though. Those guys are faggots and Dante is FABULOUS. Such a clear difference.

There is something called as PRESENTATION, how the game presents itself and trailers are part of that. Well right now the game just presented itself in a horrendous way only the makers could love. In trailers, before, everyone can tell that Dante kicks so much ass that his boots already smell of fart. Reminded me a lot of DMC4, which is a bad thing. If you thought I was arguing towards the trailers awesomeness, then you completely misunderstood.

No one knows really. What your wall of text boils down to is that you hate change and artists/directors/writers switching the story from the direction you wanted it to take. Sorry, but that isn't going to happen, as you won't always have the same people doing the IP when it's ever changing. So yeah, you kind of do have to take this "deepshit" or not play the game.
The game still looks the exact same as far as the whole many camera angles with super powerful guys beating the shit out of demons, and it doesn't look like his personality has changed much.
Also, I'm not seeing as how you can predict what will happen making this pointless. It's not a remake, it's a reboot. The only thing that might remain from the old series is his name. It's far too early to be saying this game sucks or I hate this just because you don't like the way he looks now. If that completely ruins it for you though, then don't play the game like I said.
I do agree that I am not a fan of the direction of Silent hill or Resident Evil. I still play the game though for what they're worth. I enjoy them on some level, just not as much as the old ones. That is the case for most shit nowadays.
If this Dante looks like Twilight characters, then I suppose so does every single male lead in Final Fantasy games, as well as 80% of every other Japanese protagonists in video games. Seriously, you guys are taking a pop culture reference from our side and putting it onto Dante's new look.

This isn't DMC5 it's a reboot of the franchise.

Thermal Scopes are so low on the needed to get rid of scale it is not at all bothering me. Maybe for you it was a real rage maker, but I hated and am glad that they got rid of Commando, OMA, Marathon + Lightweight perk combo, Shotguns as secondaries and a bunch of other shit. Black Ops is looking way better for online right now.

I was referring more to a large group such as Yandere, Mirror Moon, Amaterasu etc. If a group like that picks it up, then it should be out quickly for a VN.
