I'm a huge fan of Junji Ito's works and Tomie was such a wonderful and bizarre series. If you look like her you must be gorgeous! Uzumaki was great as well, he has a new series of short stories he's been working on which are okay I guess? Nothing like his older works, but I still love his style >w<
Fushigi Yuug and Ceres are such wonderful series, I use to read them in my schools libraries once upon a time. Also read around that time Vampire Princess Miyu, Juline, Video Girl Ai, Black Cat, Fruits Basket, Here is Greenwood, Hana Kimi.... too many to ever fully list lol.
Josei works are pretty awesome and I recently got back into some seinen with Midnight Sectary and Happy Marriage, but honestly I bounce around with genre's.

It puts a smile on my face that you mentioned Jellyfish Princess, that series is just so cute!! Kimi ni Todoke is a great series and I loved Love Stage quite a bit, brought out the inner fujoshi in me, though I'm not really hardcore with it. I go through phases with shoujo, like right now I'm obsessed with Kamisama Kiss and some seinen works like Midnight Secretary and Happy Marriage.
If you are passionate about nerdy things like most of us are, you'll break into the henti universe over time. If I can think of any works I'll recommend them to you, yandere is a pretty nice choice. If you like yandere in anime Future Diary and Higurashi are good series with iconic yandere girls.

When it comes to props you'll have to look at what the conventions rules are on them. Every convention is different when it come to materials, height, weight, etc. Usually nothing sharp and it can't be heavy enough to hurt someone hence why a lot of them are made of lighter materials. Some convention's have banned props all together so again, can't really reccomend anything since all cons are different.
As for cosplay recommendations, really depends on your tastes in dressing up are, how complicated do you want the piece and how much cash you willing to spend on it? So instead of recommending a character, think about some of these things:
- when is the convention?
- are there any rules or regulations for certain cosplay items or apparel?
- how much do I have to spend on cosplay?
- how crafty am I and how much effort am I willing to put into the outfit?
- who do I want to cosplay as? or do I want to do an original outfit?
- what is the person wearing/what do I need to make the outfit?
- what alternatives can I find for certain things?
Basically once you've answered these generic questions you can start to plan your outfit. Biggest thing is to read the rules to cosplaying since most cons nowadays have rules and they will kick you out if you break them. You also should keep in mind temperature for costumes. I've been to conventions where I either froze my ass off or sweated like a pig so make a reminder to either add or remove layers if need be, or know you may have to suffer for the greater good lol.

Don't really care how you're friend got the money and the only thing I can think to tell you/ your friend is to talk with someone about a refund if they're unhappy with there purchase. Honestly the saying, "don't knock it till you try it" works as well since he may actually enjoy the digital copy when he gets it.
You can complain all you want in normal or cheesy gangster talk, but you'll get somewhere faster by talking with right people who can actually do something about your issues in relation to the purchase.

This book will be the official English released copy whereas any other copies will not. I like supporting the English release of content since it can lead to more diverse material being released in the future, plus as I already said the works are retranslated, in HD quality and the artists of the work profits as well, not just fakku. I've already bought some of the books both digitally and physically, there's definitely a noticeable difference between official releases and free scanlations, which is really awesome.
I see that you don't like the idea of buying such things in any way and only did this for your friend and it's fine to have a difference of opinion. Just do what you want to on the forums and it's nice you did this to help out your friend so I hope you can get everything situated. I don't work on the books myself but I can help out best I can if you need anything else.

@Stanford: as for HanaFuda, you should have read that on here that ordering the book was only a pre-order so you cannot view the book until the date it will be released officially (yes this even goes for digital copies). With the free copy you found online, keep in mind this isn't a new book so there will be older copies or even scanlated copies off works on the internet to find.
People who hate the idea of buying there porn can find it for free if they look, but honestly I don't mind supporting fakku books myself since it isn't expensive and if enough people get the digital, a physical may be released. Also all of the books are re-translated and reworked so there will be some differences. As I said, talk to Jake about this issue and if you aren't happy with anything he'll help you out and if you still aren't happy you don't have to purchase the material, simple as that.

Everything looks great, only things I can think that could be good to sell in the store are posters of momoka (there's some great deviantart artists and whatnot), visual novel hentai games (if you ever released otome games I would die a happy woman though I know it probably wouldn't happen lol), eroge magazines, as tsamari said new t-shirt designs (maybe a jacket even?) for the logo and daki's are an interesting idea. Only other things I can think of are figures and those funny anime breast/ass mouse pads or even just ecchi mouse pads, and generic things like mugs, plushies, bookmarks, bags, paperweights, bookmarks, etc.
