Zafira does have a point there, Zandwarf. This is not a kind of discussion I would love to have, or see, unless really necessary.
Well, I never really intended to force you to share my sentiment. As long as you get my point, I am content. Let's just move on or settle our differences in Soku if you want.
And you haven't reported how good your match against Zufi in Soku days ago. Who had more wins?

Every game is different, and every game is similar. But they are more different, than they are alike. Why are you going round in circles only to say this. Look, I believe you're letting your personal distaste cloud your judgement towards UFO. Up until this point, I still think that difficulty is not to be used as a standard measurement in any topic regarding "... what makes one game different than the others" or anything within the line. Is that what the issue here?
Just saying, nobody/nothing demands you to rely [[heavily]] on anything that's not your own skills and knowledge.
And since Zandwarf is talking about "essentially", why don't we associate TD with UFO considering how its core gameplay mechanic essentially revolving in collecting unique things to earn either life points, score, or bombs? Honestly, I don't see how you could alienate UFO for being special or off from the usual formula. No real objection for EoSD however, though I feel the need to add that it's also the only windows-based game with no hitbox support by the default, which makes it relatively more difficult than the other installments in the same platform.
It appears to me you're saying that every game is essentially the same, which is pretty much true. The only thing I don't understand is why you took a long road explaining only to end up in the starting spot.

Of course, with your unbeatable Sakuya up front. Alice didn't surprise me, but Komachi did... Didn't expect that.No no, Youmu. Komachi is the one taking the front line.
Who do you expect then? I don't use Komachi a lot, but I think I've used her against you several times before.

Get your head off the boat and back into thinking about days at school, Zafhner.
Ah, the days where you got punished for not doing homeworks almost every day. Just like the story of my life.
Have you guys picked your 3 champions?

Objection overruled.
It pretty much fortified any accusation about how godawful my connection is. If it comes to worst of the worst, I suppose you guys better rule me out for the upcoming tournament.
It's like you're saying I have the worst connection among the members here.
Wait, that's true.
I am now online in Evolve in case you want to rumble.

Yes, I am terribly rusty. Like a 40 year old piece of iron frame work that sat out in pouring rain all that time and has oxidized to near dust. I'd be willing to fight you a couple of rounds, but not with what I've been cooking up. Cuz that would be spoiling the surprise. :3Then we can save it till you have assessed your synchronization rate with Zafira.

I could barely scathe the AI when I lost, eh heh... It happened somewhere around... 15 fights in, I think.I take it you're terribly rusty. Why don't we fight so I can see what have you been cooking all this time?

That's quite the ironic saying, because I am rocking a beard, like this fellow here:Spoiler:
But, despite not knowing about the bug... Playing Arcade mode while having Lunatic difficulty is even harder. The AI only gets more aggressive the further you get, no matter what difficulty you play. Kinda like those old arcade survival games.
You must be proud for having such a seductive beard. Grow one like James Harden's to make it manlier.
Honestly, I don't notice that they get more aggressive throughout the arcade mode. Is your point based on actual experience or written source or both?
Did some battle-testings against Easy A.I moments ago, I gotta say it's like fighting Zafira minus his aggressiveness. My point still stands; stick with lunatic A.I if you want to have a decent practice partner that's not human.
Zandorf wrote...
I thought there was a bug that makes an Easy AI harder than the Lunatic AI?I never really played in Easy, so I cannot tell such thing exists.Still, you gotta rock the beard while the iron is hot; lunatic is the best fighting partner you can ever have aside from human opponent, at least from my view.

And as it alwais happened against me, Jenny combat style is almost flawless. He have a nice response to every enemy move and that what make of him an hard opponent, but in turn he also can be pretty predictable at some chance.
Analysis breakdown time!
So, I am relatively predictable, huh. Thanks for the input, it's a nice food for thought. Gotta make it up for whatever I slack.
It's unfortunate that we never really had real quality fights to form an accurate enough analysis regarding the other's playstyle. But I think I still can tell the gist of yours as it's similar to mine, calculative aggressive. Raising own momentum to control the movement of your opponent, just the way I like it. However, I believe you still lack the ability to interrupt your opponent's rhythm.
In order to obtain the skill, I suggest you to fight against human opponents more. Alternatively, you could bully lunatic A.I instead.

Too much HM here, i only soku, so come at me people if you want. And I'm the first to respond to Haru's challenge. However, it was still as hectic, as in laggy, as then.
Given the situation, it appears that Haru and I aren't fated to fight in the upcoming Soku tournament. That is, unless we both keep winning and able to meet in the finals.

Practice more and "you should be able to handle them eventually, sooner or sooner."Your spell can be cancelled if you get hit at any point while its active.
You learn too fast, BiBiko.
And that's why you have to adjust your timing and change your altitude. If I recall correctly, there is more than enough time for you to deliver punishment to Mamizou while One Hundred Demons is in motion. Aside from using spellcard during the situation, you may also use your bullets if she is not within your reach and run along with it so you can execute a follow-up combo.
Also, a new spin-off game is set to be released soon. Here is the post from cuc:

ZUN: By the way, I will finish the game for Winter Comiket before Dec 27, and promote it in Nikenme Radio 3D 2. Definitely.
ZUN: Speaking of that, I haven't properly announced it. We will do another public Nikenme Radio broadcast this year, on Dec 27 in Loft/Plus One. The title is "Radio begins from the second pub 3D 2 : So why should we go to the second pub anyway?" Details will be released when decided later.
ZUN: Unlike at Atlanta, this time I won't go up the podium, then immediately say "It's time for Q&A now."

ZUN has a new game to be released for this Winter Comiket (Comiket 85). Comiket 85 lasts from Dec 29 to 31, and Touhou is scheduled on the second day. The new game will obviously be a spinoff without demo, rather than a main game.
In short: a spinoff game will be released on Dec 30.
I'm on Kasen or/and Kosuzu bandwagon.

Wild Carpet is that one with Mamizou's comrades charging at you like Charger in L4D2?Thats correct.
Wiki says Transformation "Youkai World Gate of One Hundred Demons" instead of Wild Carpet.
That spellcard is the first to draw first blood in my case.
If you're not very confident in your grazing technique, spellcard is your only answer to deal with her. And in order for you to be able to use one in One Hundred Demons, you mustn't use any in any phase before it; that is assuming you only have one spellcard in your deck. Don't forget to change your altitude before using spellcard to avoid her 'familiars' cancelling your attack.
Aside from the one spellcard we're talking about, Mamizou isn't really strong, or exceptionally lethal, for a second-to-last-boss. That being said, you should be able to handle her eventually, sooner or sooner.

Finally faced off against Kokoro-Story-Hard. She's not too difficult. Her diving spell is hard though. It breaks your block in two hits and if you are caught by her you get 4 total hits. Very easy to lose a life to it.Despite how lethal it is, Kokoro's Mask of an Angry Hated Wolf is still pretty much bearable with precise timing, decent speed, decent non-Buddha bullets, and skill cards that involve dense projectile (not mandatory). Keep moving left and right to bait Kokoro and shower her with bullets as soon as she is within your line of sight and range; this way, you can attack her while she is attacking. Make sure to shower her with more bullets and fists while she is recharging to garner the best possible damage for one turn.
It's just the usual strategy to conquer spellcards in fighting games:
Victory = Analyze the spellcards's pattern + Repeat(Wait for your chance -> Strike)

Just like with Zafira, PMing Haru seems to be the most plausible solution to have matches.
