This should hopefully be fixed now. Can you make sure you're on reader version 2.18.3.4 (you can see the version number in the bottom of the settings) and see if everything is working as expected again?

How will downloads work with this? I'm assuming the paid chapters will have them just like everything else but it'd be weird to have an incomplete collection since you can't download free chapters. No need to worry - downloads for episodes 5-11 will include episodes 1-4 as well!

Viewing on PC is borderline impossible. There's no option of infinite scrolling, and when I'm trying to view the bottom part of a page, the page flips most of the time.If you don't like scrolling changing the page (are you using a laptop trackpad, by any chance?), you can disable Scroll Wheel Page Change in the reader options.

I have reported similar issues with color images that were fixedWhat you've reported before has been a matter of us accidentally using the wrong encoding profile (which also causes banding), which is a relatively easy thing to fix - you just need to make sure the image gets encoded with the correct profile. This particular issue runs a lot deeper though - what I said about low contrast gradients and JPG compression applies all the same, but after looking at it again I did discover an actual issue in the color encoding profile that is making the end results here look worse than they should be, and we are currently in the process of fixing it. It might take a while though.

Can you see if you can get the coloring issues for these 3 releases fixed?
You have unfortunately come across a very problematic matter with all three of these: low-contrast gradients. These are something where it's not uncommon to see issues present at source level already, and you also have to deal with the fact that JPG compression has a hard time dealing with them (it just won't look as good as a lossless PNG would, even if you were to turn the quality all the way to 100, the maximum).
Looking into the illustrations in question, there are indeed banding issues present at source level already. Would it technically be possible to deal with that? Yes, but unfortunately, our production pipeline is not built in a manner that would accommodate appropriate filtering measures to deal with this in a high quality manner, and adding that capacity into it would be no simple task. And even then, no matter how flawless your sources are, you would still be dealing with the issue of JPG compression, as PNG is just not a feasible option for online reading when it comes to full color images (the files would simply be way too big compared to everything else). The only real solution in this regard would be to use a newer image format for color images, like JPEG XL, AVIF or even HEIC, but all of these have issues ranging from browser support, stable format definitions, encoding speeds, decoding speeds, to even possible patent licensing issues in case of HEIC... not to mention that our current comic reading infrastructure also just isn't built in a way that would accommodate multiple formats for a page nor does it have feature detection capabilities for deducing what image formats a user's browser would support.
In the long run, I would certainly like to address both of the things I brought up - introducing high quality image processing options and tooling into our production pipeline, as well offering higher quality images with newer formats like JPEG XL or AVIF, but as said, these are very much things that can only be realistically addressed in the long run - and in the meantime, I'm afraid we'll just have to put up with a little banding here and there when it comes to low-contrast gradients in color images.

We contacted Irodori and it turns out they only fixed this recently on their end and simply forgot to send us the updated files at the time. They've done so now, though, and with that the version on Fakku has now been updated with the missing page as well.

Reader settings do persist in your browser, but this relies on Local Storage being available. Some browsers in private browsing mode (most notably, Safari) disable Local Storage, which in turn means that the reader can't persist its settings either.
If you are using Safari in private mode, I would recommend either not using private mode or using another browser that doesn't break Local Storage in private browsing mode to read content on Fakku.

Is there a way to display chapter names? Being able to scroll through both individual pages and chapters at the same time is cool, but I personally remember things more by their names. And since not all chapters have the chapter name on the first page, this just makes the reader more inconvenient, at least in my opinion.Chapter names should always be visible, and with the latest reader update just now that should be true for phone screens too!

What about reading books...? Now you can't select chapters....
Should be fixed now, we accidentally deployed the wrong version for books.

We have a deployed a new reader build that will hopefully fix issues for those who were having trouble on Android.

Can confirm that the issues exist and I've started working on fixing them. This should hopefully be sorted out soon.

Based on quick testing, videos seem to be playing just fine for me on Firefox 68 on Windows 10, so I'm going to need more details here to figure out what's going on. What operating system (Windows/Mac/Linux) are you on? What version of Firefox are you on? How exactly are the videos not playing? Just not at all? Even if you try refreshing the page multiple times? What extensions do you have installed? If there's any that are active on Fakku, have you tried disabling them and see if that changes anything?

This is currently relatively recent - the artist/title/chapters PDF metadata is mostly only present in books released since December 2018. However, our general plans include keeping our older books up to date to current technical standards, and we are currently in the process of updating our entire catalog in this regard, which will include updating all the PDF downloads with this metadata. It will take some time, but it does mean that later this year PDF metadata should be available on everything.

Not sure if it’s a bug or intended but on iOS (iPhone and iPad) I cant use full screen anymore. I can on my MacBook, PC desktop, and old android phone but not on iOS. I’ve tried entering and exiting beta and it still does not work. Has this feature just been removed?Fullscreen has been disabled on iOS 12 for the time being due to reports of a constantly appearing "It looks like you are typing while in full screen" popup when scrolling or generally interacting while in fullscreen mode. It's an unfortunate false positive on Apple's end, but unfortunately not one we can do anything about right now, which is why the feature is currently disabled.

Could please Revert the reader Change? It just feels worse all around on both desktop and mobile. As the header say, you are using a beta reader, which is still a work in progress - you can turn it off for the time being by following the beta button link.

1. One thing I noticed right now on mobile is that you can't scroll down on mobile to get to the next page anymore. Instead you have to pan the page left or right. Scrolling down felt so much better imo. This is now an option - look for "Swipe Navigation Direction" in the settings. You can set it to either Horizontal (default), Vertical or Both.

2. The overview in the new reader is basically worthless. The pages get slightly smaller, but you still have to pan to the next page like in normal way. Instead of Having a real overview like in the old reader to quickly jump to the page you want. Most of the time I used it to jump to my favorite scene, but now it's barely faster than just scrolling through normally. The navigation page will have some additions to it, though it'll likely keep the slider design moving forward. Where exactly are you finding it slow, though? On desktop you can breeze through the slider pretty quickly with the mouse wheel, and swiping through it with fingers on mobile isn't what I'd call all that slow either.

3. No artist on top in desktop. Overall desktop has basically a empty header now. Fill it back with info and features like quickly jumping to other works of the authorI'm definitely hearing you on this, though you can also look forward to doing this kind of stuff (ie. jumping to other works by the author) as the new end page gets more things added to it (it's very bare bones right now).

Overall I like fakku content but this new reader makes it hard for me to enjoy it. One thing I like about the new reader however is the new page a at the end, as it makes it clear when you are finished and helps quickly jumping back to main pageAs mentioned, you can look forward to being able to do more with it in the future too!

As Kisuka mentioned, what you're currently seeing is a beta reader that's still work-in-progress.
That being said, you don't need to click the arrows to scroll the thumbs in the beta reader - the mouse wheel allows you to speed through them quite fast.

I actually prefer to keep it browser-based because you may prefer different settings depending on the device you're using. I for example use the reader both on my desktop and my tablet, and I have slightly different settings on both. I guess it could be possible to allow users to save multiple configurations on their profile and then save what configuration to use per browser, but making all that intuitive and easy to use would take time, so it's not something that could be immediately added to the system.

The settings are normally saved by your browser. However, they will not persist if you use private mode - your saved settings are lost when you close the window. Additionally, if you are using Safari, your settings will reset whenever you open a new chapter, since Safari does not support local storage in private mode (which is what the reader uses for storing the settings).
Something to note however is that the reader supports changing the reading direction on the fly by navigating either left or right on the first page. Both ways will go to the second page and set the reading direction accordingly.

As mentioned above, generally speaking the ZIP downloads are recommended - they are a much better fit for comics than PDF. And Perfect Viewer is a decent reader for Android.

I have a question about Wife Swap Diaries. I realize it is from an older low res source, but the upscaled 1080p version you currently have up has a lot of blurring. I know older anime sources such as this are not the best in terms of clarity, but this is noticeably more so than any of the other older series you currently have up. I'm wondering if the blurriness/lack of line clarity/ghosting is an issue inherent in the source video or if it may be due, at least in part, to some encoder settings?
It is 100% the source. I do filtering for every title in an effort to improve the presentation quality, especially for older titles where the masters are SD, but some of the sources are just really not very good. In case of Wife Swap Diaries, the master is simply incredibly blurry, and there isn't really much that can be done about it beyond what I've already done.

If I'm not mistaken, Wife Swap Diaries and House of 5 Lusts are the only anime releases so far that haven't had a BluRay release, so my assumption is that they're both upscaled for 720p and 1080p.Most of the currently licensed Kitty Media catalog that we have access to is SD material. Some of the masters are quite nice and make for pretty decent looking HD video with filtering, while others are less than optimal... as a rule of thumb, you could say that the older the title, the worse it's going to look. That really applies to anime in general, and doubly so with hentai anime (anime mastering has a very long history of spotty and flawed work).
