What I have noticed is that if they keep the omnibus releases as 2 in 1 volumes instead of 3 in 1 volumes, they hold up really well.
That being said if and when the Kickstarter goes live one of the stretch goals should be a thicker paper stock for the cover, if not a hardcover release.
Just to give it that extra special touch.
Side note I am looking at my seven seas release of the orange omnibus right now which is 2.5 books in 1 and I can tell this won't make it past 2 readings. However my Yowamushi Pedal Omnibus from Yen press which is 2 volumes in 1 and has a weaker paper stock for the cover has held up through the 3 times I have read through it. The spin barley has a crease at all.

That's what I did but add-ons still put me over 200
Still haven't decided on getting the shirt or not
Sounds familiar, I started with the 125$ tier and now am close to 200$...
And it seems that your guess of Kodomo no Jikan as the next project was (indirectly) confirmed by Update #12...
Ya, I saw that can't wait going to try and get a limited tier.
Kodomo no Jikan I was going to buy in 2007, but Seven Seas cancelled their release.
For the kickstarter I hope they print it as "A Child's Time" and not "Nymphet"
It would also be nice if they would release the series in omnibus volumes containing two or three regular volumes and with nice paper specs!
The idea of an omnibus from a US publisher makes me want to cringe, but maybe they would do a decent job. Most of the US manga released is horrible quality, and with most omnibus they figure out how to drop the quality even more.
Would love to see how Kodomo no Jikan was supposed to end before Comic High! canceled it because of Milk Morinaga
I would also like an omnibus release just for space purposes, just if they do single volumes that's 13 books.
YenPress actually did a very good job with the Emma omnibus releases, but they went all out with a hardcover, and a dust jacket.
also all of the VizBig Editions of Viz's omnibus releases have held up really well for me, but I agree with you that some of the regular paperback omnibus releases really get worn down just after one reading.

A certain Benzaie would tell you not to judge a book by its cover.
I hear you I really do, but I have bought so much manga that I stopped reading the story synopsis long ago, and now just look at a cover to see if I want a new series. With Hentai I am very ignorant cause my first Hentai books were from FAKKU so I wanna try to read as much variety as possible.

A random chapter button would be a fun and interesting way for people to discover/rediscover older chapters. The Current Manga Page does have a "Random" bottom near the top of the pages in a section called browse, it's the last one. Hoever in my experience it usually almost always takes me to a book chapter, not a subscription chapter.
A category for subscription chapters from artists who have books published on FAKKU, would be helpful for people who want to get a book but want to see samples of the artists previous works.
Also further down the line when there is a lot more content there could be a section titled, "Chapters we love"
Where FAKKU staff members choose chapters that stuck out to them, it would change maybe every other week.
Also a Mind-F section for chapters like Train of Fate and other similar chapters.

By the end of the year I expect everyone to have a dedicated bookcase for FAKKU releases.Release enough books and I will be glad to, for now they will stay hidden in the depths of my manga shelves.

While not my favorite in the book, it's amazingly hot. The yandere footjob is boner-inducing. More tankoubans are always welcome.GODsHandOnEarth wrote...
Indeed one of the top book releases! With the black flower chapter it was for me the other way around: normally I really like yandere girls but this special one simply could not win my heart and made the chapter the weakest in my opinion.
But hey, tastes differ and I really hope we get to see his other book!
I am glad other people also enjoyed the book, and want to see more from Hamao Sensei. Probably because i haven't read much Yandere i cant compare it to a lot, that's probably why Black Flower really stood out for me. Also the Illustration on Page 216 underneath the Afterword where Bo tan has a very explicit photo of Endou in some S&M getup and the caption reads "They're getting along in one way or another" I don't know it brought some closure to the story, which is always a plus to me.

The top three chapters for me were Black Flower, Sisters Typhoon, and Sisters Typhoon+. Really solid book!Nice, got another shout out for Black Flower.
Out of all the Fakku Books I have read this one easily takes the top spot for me. I have never been a fan of Yandere but Black Flower was my favorite chapter out of the whole book, so Hamao Sensei helped me to rethink my stance on Yandere Girls. Really hope Fakku brings over Hamao Sensei's first TankÅbon
I didn't discover FAKKU till after Bosshi's XXX Mix had already gone out of print. So if they ever print another Doujinshi I would like them to be printed in the same style as sold at Comiket, so I am am all for this if FAKKU chooses to do it.

I say this specific book only cause it's the newest. However any book from E-Musu Aki would be greatly appreciated.

... for now.Now that FAKKU has a clean slate it should be easier to work with other publishers, right? I sincerely hope that FAKKU prevails. Doing so will allow others to have confidence in what we're doing.
But I think there's already a lot on their plate. Two simulpubs and monthly books is a lot of stuff to work on. Not to mention whatever additional projects are going on behind the curtains. I imagine more people will be necessary if we want more content. And actually I'm a little worried. Can they maintain the high standard of quality as the business grows? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
The Toshio Maeda Kickstarter is a project and a half by itself.
The fact that Jacob said they would make it a Kickstarter as to avoid clashes with their existing lineup of releases was a great point to make.
However I can only imagine the immense amount of resources that will be going into those books.
Great I just recently joined FAKKU, but I am liking what I am seeing so far. I look forward to all the new website features to come later this year.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Could there be a feature where we see sort of a table of contents with each magazine. Similar to how it is with the book releases.
With the books we get a list of all the chapters so we know this book has 12 chapters, and if that book is still being translated we get a countdown clock for the next chapter.
I understand that with magazines the releases are sporadic, so putting a countdown clock on would not be achievable.
But just a table of contents listing all the chapters that are present in that particular magazine issue, would be greatly appreciated.
That way we can see that this particular issue has lets say 23 chapters, and we get a list of all the chapter titles.
I keep saying to myself "oh well Comic X-Eros #30 must be fully translated now", and then bam just this morning I see a new chapter for Comic X-Eros #30.

I would also point out that Shonen jump is just now starting to simulcast specific titles (which I could be wrong but is a separate subscription fee?), and they don't produce the full Japanese magazine for an English audience. Viz does what they can but also select just the titles the want to license and release the books to.You are correct they have started to translate Platinum End by Tsumugi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, however they don't include it with WSJ. They charge $1.00 a month for each individual new chapter.
Likewise another company Yen Press does the same thing with select titles. However they charge more. Sometimes as much as $2.99 for chapters with large page counts.
In the end no one is entitled to entertainment and ultimately you get what you paid for.
I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed I Hate You I look forward to more more from Madoka Sensei
For myself however the top spot goes to Interlude Play by Hamao
Close Seconds were:
Bug Zapper by 40010 Prototype
Romantic Dust Shooters by Fujimaru
And the honorable mention is:
Flesh Banquet Manor by E-Musu Aki
**If not for the Shota rape Scene, this one could have blown all the others out of the water. (In my opinion)**
