Is it just me, or do characters in manga or anime seem more succeptible to catching a cold than real life might suggest? At least either one was spared the (a-hem) 'ultimate remedy' shown in "Hot Skin Help!" by Tatsu Tairagi (brr).

Well, That Was Something Completely Different ... by the end, Eagle-sensei seems to to be "soaring with the eagles" (temporarily or permanently, who can say?).
