If we want something more streamlined and refined, we could give Pathfinder (often dubbed D&D 3.75) a go. It streamlines a lot of things, but is definitely breathing the spirit of D&D 3rd Edition.

...and if you want more interesting combat we could give Codex Martialis a go. (Keep in mind though, that I won't have much time until the end of the month... exams suck).

No: Natural selection doesn't always favor the strongest, most selfish bastard.

Natural selection works by rewarding the guy who screws the most and his children survive. Girls dig a guy for very different reasons across the myriad of species. Strange as it sounds, being altruistic, caring, (good with the kids) and sacrificing for the group can be a better strategy than just being the biggest, strongest guy on the block. (Maybe you are... meanwhile that little guy is screwing your mate behind your back).

...so no. Alturuism, self-sacrifice, group dynamics can and *are* good survival methods in some circumstances.

You can also help, by uploading (or just selecting!) you favorite page from your favorite author. These guys made hundreds of pages, some of them made dozens of stories. Post your favorite shot, show us a page that really shows off their talent.

History:

Originally this has been suggested as a poll, however even with my stringent weeding of qualifiers there are too many contestants to make a forum poll.

So then I've had the idea to make a tournament like mote-mote.
There will be a Pro- and Amateur-League as I have a *truncated* list of over 100 authors. Lolicon/Shotacon authors will have a league of their own. (I did this to ensure that the matches don't degrade into (yet another) loli debate).

Qualification:

Qualification for the Pro-League requires several published *and* scanlated tankoubons from the author. (Qualification for the Amateur-League requires at least two published *and* scanlated tankoubons from the author).

Matches were drawn so that the opponents will have a similar style and stories in their work to ensure heated and intensive battles. For the same reason match-ups will be redrawn after 1st and 2nd rounds to ensure this.

Schedule:

Battles will be started every other day, and will last a week. After the end of the first round, a simple voting will be held to give one of the runner ups a second chance in the second round.
