But with the recent HGUC kits, I find them superior to 1/100s. They at least beat the NG 1/100s while the MG is a completely different topic. Bigger isn't always better.

Actually NG means the No Grade 1/100 kits. If you want sure go for the 2 MG Astrays. The NG line has the Gold Frame Amatsu which looks very sweet. But I guess if you want the Red or Blue Frames, then yeah go for the Master Grades.

Preservation wise though, they kind of become limp noodles. The joints don't hold and they lose their stances.HGUC kits are much better than they were if you were comparing with older HG kits. Besides, kits only become "limp noodles" when you pose it too much or play with it too often. Even if that's not the case, the engineering could be the one at fault but that applies to every other kit, not just HGUC.
