The way I see it, you're not really making an ass of yourself. I can believe that you honestly thought BD-1 was a Gundam so it's natural for you to give supporting facts why it is even though they proved otherwise. For discussions like this, you'd have to research more. And that's pretty much it.
This is actually one of the first few Gundam series I've heard about when I got into Gundam after being exposed to Gundam Wing. However when I asked my cousin what it was about and if it was good or not, he said he didn't like it and that it was boring. It wasn't until a year ago when I actually watched it and found out that it was actually a good and wasn't boring at all.
Before I watched this series, I've read that this series was terrible and labeled as a black sheep show because it was canceled so I was kinda iffy at first. Boy was I wrong. In my opinion, I enjoyed this series a lot and I would put this ahead of SEED. And really, I cannot understand why others would say X is terrible while at the same time say SEED Destiny was terrific when it really should be the other way around. The reason why I found this series more enjoyable was the fact that it explored the "what if" scenario when literally the masses of space colonies gets dropped onto Earth and causes chaos for 15 years where there's literally no world order. I mean when I look at this, Darwinism comes into play here, "survival of the fittest".
So do you guys think Gundam X is a decent/good series? Does it deserve its black sheep reputation its earned for being canceled?

The Zeta Zaku point is useless. If you're gonna say that the BDs are Gundams just because they were built using the Ground Gundam's design, does that make the GM Grounds Gundams too? They have similar bodies to the Ground Gundam so does that make it a Gundam? No. GM Grounds are GMs. And from what Kaimax said, does that make the GM Custom the Gundam Alex then? They both look similar so does that make the GM Custom a Gundam? No. The GM Grounds and GM Custom were built as GMs and so was BD-1. You have no proof that BD-1 was ever a Gundam to begin with. Sure it may feature a similar design to the Ground type but this design is shared with the GM Ground types as well but they aren't called Gundams at all. Your stance will lead to all of the Ground types to be called Gundams when they're not. Gundams that use different head like the Zeta Zaku and the "GM Head" are only so because they have no extra heads and are using whatever was around as a replacement. So for these two ONLY, yes they are Gundams but for everything else, no they were either built as Gundams in the beginning or as GMs.
The RX in the serial number doesn't mean a thing. The Guncannon and the Guntank both have RX in their serial numbers but they aren't Gundams. And for the Zeta Zaku, the Zaku's head was ONLY used as a temporary head because the Argama didn't have another Zeta head to replace the destroyed one and they needed the Zeta to help Judau. BD-1 was built as a GM while BD-2 and BD-3 were built as Gundams. Who cares if all 3 units were equipped with the EXAM, it doesn't mean anything. BD-1 had the GM head when it was first build so therefore it's a GM because it never had a Gundam head in the first place.
Oh dear god are you fucking kidding me? Twilight is the shittiest thing to have ever existed! Story is terrible. Characters are a joke. The movie and books promote pedophilia and stalking. Contradicts the definition of vampires and werewolves.

If you watch the fans' responses, you'll realize that every pro-Twilight response is just stupid.

That's right. Keep tell them about it. Because this will make confusion which is gundam and which is GM. This case will be same between Hazel-GM Quel.Hazel was built as a Gundam and the GM Quel was obviously built as a GM. There is no confusion. In a nut shell, if a mobile suit was built with a Gundam head from the very beginning, it's called a Gundam. If a mobile suit was built with a GM head from the beginning, then it's a GM. Plain and simple.
The difference between BD1 and the Ground Gundam GM Head is that the GM Head was just using a GM head as a replacement for the destroyed Gundam head because the Ground Gundams had no spare parts because they were spare parts themselves from the RX-78-2. However the Blue Destiny is a COMPLETELY different unit. And it was built as a GM, not a Gundam.

Yeah, but can't cry over spilled milk. :PDon't be retarded. This isn't whining. This is called critiquing. Unfortunately you obviously don't understand that.
Is Blue Destiny Unit 1 considered a GM or a Gundam? And this topic if for Unit 1 ONLY. I want to know if it is or not and why. I don't want to hear "Oh the skirt looks the same as the Gundam Ground so therefore it is a Gundam."
My take. BD1 is a GM because simply of the head it has. It's a GM's head, not a Gundam. Plain and simple. If Unit 1 was a Gundam, why doesn't it have a Gundam head? Or at least a Gundam face?

Haha. Damn your relentless aren't you?
I'm just pointing out the truth. New mecha designs aren't going to make this series any better. And if SEED wanted to have a more interesting story, they should have kept Shinn as the main character in Destiny. SEED lost everything it gained after Destiny aired and this blunder can't be fixed because what you're suggesting is like putting lipstick on a pig.

its okay. as long that they make the story More Interesting and Make Another designs. like the Endless WaltzYeah, endless waltz was the s&%^. If they do that then I guess that makes up for Destiny. :D
The only way Destiny can EVER be forgiven is if they scrapped the story and completely rewrite it. Otherwise no.
This so called movie has been in "production" or should I say indefinite hiatus for quite some time now. I don't recall how long since they announced that there was gonna be a movie taking place after Destiny but with new and better Gundam goods like the upcoming Gundam 00 movie premiering in September of this year and the ongoing Gundam UC OVAs, is there really a point for this so called SEED movie to even come out?
In my opinion, Destiny fucked the SEED series so bad I don't think any amount of new SEED stuff can ever redeem the series. Stargazer was good but it simply wasn't enough to save it. And with all the good guys from SEED now on the sides of Orb and Zaft, any SEED sequel would be utterly predictable and would just make the Earth Alliance even more evil than they already are for having no good characters on their side. My take is that if the SEED movie ever gets produced, it's just gonna be the same as the first two SEED shows. Therefore not interesting or even worth watching cause I don't want to see Gundam plot armor or Kira Yamato and his super friends having more flawless victories. So I do not want this movie to come out and in fact it would be better to just scrap whatever progress this movie made.
So now my question is do you want a SEED movie? Why or why not?

I am pleased to hear very good responses. I'm gonna add something about the GM Custom and the GM Cannon II.
Both suits had features incorporated from the Gundam Alex prototype and the GM Kai. The GM Custom I believe had the same maneuverability as the RX-8-2 and the GM Cannon II has the same armor from the Gundam Alex's chobham armor.

In my previous discussion, we talked about Zeonic mobile suits vs the ZAFT equivalent of the Zakus, Goufs, and Doms. Now we will go into the GM type suits and which would be superior.
Here are some examples of each Earth forces MP suits
EFSF (Earth Federation Space Force) - Universal Century
EA (Earth Alliance) - SEED

Spoiler:

Spoiler:
Character development is almost non-existent in SEED Destiny which made all development from the SEED cast a waste of time because characters like Athrun lost everything he learned from SEED in SEED Destiny. Therefore making the show in it's entirely stupid and a waste of time. Plus every other pointless plot device, battles, you name it.
