The Avatar movies won't be as bad as DB Evolution. For one thing, the story could actually be done in a movie. The same couldn't be said about DB. Also, I believe there are plans for it to be a trilogy, so they shouldn't be cramming too much into each movie (though I'm sure a lot of stuff will still be left out).
The guy who spammed was just a spammer. It didn't seem like he wanted to be a part of the community at all. I wouldn't hold all new members in the same class as him.
If new members do annoying things, I think it's fine to call them out on it, but we should also try to show them that we would value them as members of the community if they tried to shape up. I think there is absolutely no reason to say, "Get out and never come back" to a user that seems like he/she may be a decent member.

Frankly I want an mini Ruger 14. Maybe even a Kar-98k or a M1 Grand for historical purposes. And for those worried about tanks I'm not going to disclose it on the internet but I will mention it's a bitch to get a seven hundred kilo rock where you need it. Also it's a smart idea to consider the fact that the second amendment is indeed to keep the government in check, that's the only reason we haven't ended up like Iran because even though Iran has freedom of speech they don't have anything to back it. I shall quote the second amendment here as some people don't seem to understand and this crap about the ATF is kinda pissing me off. "A militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall NOT be infringed." Now some people say that there's a comma separating the people from keep and bear arms, but it's funny how that's all the fools could find to challenge such obvious wording. The thing is, if the US suddenly started acting like Iran, all the guns people keep in their parlors wouldn't change a thing. The US military is fucking huge and is not to be messed with.

Two confessions for you guys:1) I dressed up as a schoolgirl for my first big anime convention. I even shaved my legs (well, up to my knees). I still have a picture of me in a skirt with Lisa Furukawa.
Spoiler:
I confess that I actually collect penguins. Current count is somewhere near 100.
No offense taken. That was part of what made it a funny costume.

^I do agree that the Story is what counts the most, since the story is like the bread and the characters are the peanut and butter
But, seriously, telling a story with Asian Roots but white characters portraying them?
That's like retelling the American Revolution, only the British are Koreans and the Americans are Chinese
You have the bread, but you putted in Marmalade and Soy Sauce instead.
Reminds me of when Memoirs of a Geisha came out, and people were upset that a Chinese actress played a Japanese woman. While it does seem a little wrong, it's not that big a deal.
Who cares what race everyone is? The point is the story, not what country each nation represents. Besides, some stuff in the show doesn't completely mesh with the country ideas. In the swamp episode, the swamp-dwellers are pretty much rednecks, from the American South. If everyone in the movies was Asian, and the swamp-dwellers appeared in the movies, would they be the only white people? What sense would that make? Furthermore, this is an American movie. The majority of the characters being white isn't really a surprise.

remember when the upload section got a 50 post requirement...
it literally breaks the server...the horror...the spam...
Please tell me more of those days.
It was, like, one day. Uploaders were complaining (and rightfully so) about links getting reporting, so they put a post requirement on the section. Within a few hours, there was a ton of spam, and Jacob closed the forums for a day or two so he could clean it all up.

Perhaps, if all of us put our heads together, we could come up with a win-win situation for all parties.I think if older members were nicer to newer ones, it could have a significant impact. If a user sees that this place is friendly, even to newbies, he/she will be more willing to stay.
Fakku should be a nice place for all users, whether they lurk or post every day. For all we know, the people who request something and never come back could just be lurking, or they could become a regular poster a couple of months later. But even if they don't, we shouldn't ostracize certain characters simply because we do not like their actions.
The request section is for requests. Nothing more. It doesn't make sense to not allow requests in that section.

the movie is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, i guess that in the end, Yang WAS the firelord and it was all a dream and he had died. Also, i never really felt satisfied with how theAvatar ended, it felt kinda anti-climatic.
The good guys won and the bad guys lost, after some terrific fights. What was anti-climatic about it?
The only thing that disappointed me was the way Nickelodeon handled the third season. They treated it like shit, and as soon as it was over, they forgot about it.
The funny thing about the whole issue is that men don't have it all. In custody cases, the woman often gets the kids, even if the father would raise the child/children in a much better environment. Also, it's practically impossible for a man to convince people that he was raped, even if he most certainly was. Another thing, it's seen as normal for women to stay at home or work, but it's still considered pretty weird for a man to be a stay-at-home dad.
We should all want equal rights for people, but I think the term "feminist" is silly. As WarLord said, that's "humanism," wanting equal rights for all people. We shouldn't focus on giving women the same rights as men; we should work on giving all people the same rights. Wanting to only get rid of inequality against women is a bit sexist, in and of itself, because it ignores that there is a bit of inequality against men as well.
