I share my birthday with some amazing musicians: Mstislav Rostropovich, Sarah Vaughan, Mariah Carey, Maria Ewing, and Tak Matsumoto. Oh, Quentin Tarantino has the same birthday too, but meh...the only film I really, really liked of his was Inglorious Basterds.
I like fedoras a lot. On men or on women.
Tea (most kinds) is my favorite drink. Carbonated water is a close second, even if I usually can't stand carbonation in anything else.
Because I can't stand carbonation, on the rare occasions I do drink sodas, I leave the cans/bottles open in the fridge until they go flat before drinking them.

So, I just had my first bowl of sticky rice.I don't think I can ever go back to regular rice.
For conversational merit, what's a type of food you had that completely changed your culinary lifestyle?
Properly cooked sticky rice is a beautiful thing indeed. It's so good that you can eat it on its own.
The one thing that changed my culinary lifestyle wasn't a food iten--it was a beautiful, properly sharpened and cared for Santoku knife. After using that I couldn't bear to use regular kitchen knives that were dulled and abused by uncaring cooks. I saved up for my own nice knife, and this year I got a set of nice knives from my parents for my birthday. Everything is so much easier in the kitchen if you have good knives.

Grab one of your male buddies and go to places with him. Much higher chances you shall meet viable romance option.Eh, I don't consider any of my current male buddies at my school even physically attractive to me. Maybe some of my "acquaintances" from classes and clubs, but not anyone who's already close.
He might mean the ' she has a man... i'll break that happy home' theory where men only want to get with you because you have a man.. which i don't think it work in RL.. have seen it in action with girls though... nothing like 'BITCH HE MINE MAN' fight to get the male ego rollin.
No, what I really mean is, go with your male friends to meet more people that you might find a viable romance option.
Yep, there is truth in this--sometimes your friends will go "hey dude/ette, there's this one guy/gal I know and I think you'll like him/her..." et voila, they set you up, and you have a date!

Since you're mah hooman, I guess you can squeeze my kitteh tail, stroke my ears, scratch my chin, and give me belly rubs. Tuna is fine too.As an aside, teh bf has been spending so much time with the cats lately, and not enough time with me, and sometimes he forgets and pets me like the cats! I mean, it feels nice buuuuut...DX
I thought that was sort of my obligation not my privilege XD Catnip included in there?
Yep! Well, your privilege is not getting scratched/bitten/hissed at for doing the above actions.

Until neko posted I was starting to feel ashamed, as I own at least 50 pairs of shoes. Flats, heels, tennis shoes, flip flops, and even two pairs of boots (even if I hate boots).I'm not home now but I'll have to post some later.
I am so looking forward to this!
I'm not sure if I own 50 pairs of shoes...probably not. More like 25-30, I think.

Alright, what do all of us girls do? Why do you have that job/education/training? Is it always what you wanted to do?I'll go first. I'm working as a waitress at a restaurant and I have an interview for a second job tomorrow. Hopefully it'll bring in some extra cash so I can indulge my vidya game addiction. Real life's graphics just suck too much for me to care about it.
*crosses fingers and hopes for cute nerd girlfriend to show up in future*
I'm curious to see what everyone else does for work/school. The only one I've heard anything from is Remi being a tutor.
+props for being on Fakku while tutoring, by the way. <3
Happy birthday~. *birthday glompage*
Education: B.A. Psychology with a concentration in neural/perceptual studies, and Russian Language and Literature minor.
Job: online and IRL Math/English/Science tutor (and other subjects but only verrrrry rarely once in a blue moon, only when the stars align and angels sing, Psychology)
Herp derp, such a useless degree I have. At least it looks pretty, and I can cry over it, lol.
Tutoring isn't something I wanted to do, per se (I was into research and music), but I enjoy it well enough when the online students aren't being brats. There are a lot of frustrating moments when the students just. won't. get it. (I call these students the STUDENT OF DOOM because I want to believe it's just one student and not a lot.) On the flip side, when the students do get it because of my help, it feels soooo good, man. I sometimes want to scream "I did that! I lit the light bulb in your head!!!!"
I have a couple of unpaid jobs (or very low paid) as a voice actress and another as a VN composer. This is just foot-in-the-door stuff for me; hopefully they lead to paying gigs, but if not, well...at least there's still tutoring. Composing, and music in general, is something that I've always wanted to do, ever since I picked up my violin and made up songs as a child. Voice acting is something I got into accidentally that I never really considered as a career, but I'm trying to make at least a bit of money off it.
I lol'ed at your "real life's graphics just suck too much for me to care about it..." Sometimes I feel the same. XD

Orange =_= Ohh man, I was hoping for a staple ingredient but this will do. Hmmm, I wonder if I can find a way to use all this pumpkin seed oil i have for the recipe. Maybe a sweet potato risotto, or maybe shrimp, they are orange. WAIT I KNOW. Hey LastMouseStanding, Let me have your Avy to cook up, Its orange =3Pumpkin oil would work, maybe, since it's derived from an orange product. Actually, let me add that into the theme for this month.
