Joined back in '11 after watching too much naruto. When I first joined I was as terrible of a user like everybody else, but I tried my hardest to pull through and use fakku as a mean to learn and improve my English with. I also soon discovered the many Skype chats that Fakkuza has created and also found my place in them. And so now, many years later with a track record of not-so-great threads, I still talk to my Fakkuza friends on skype daily and try to keep up with the forum on fakku. My grades in English has also improved greatly and I'm now allowed to drive a car legally. It'll be interested how things will look once I get out of uni in a few years.

Not really. It did take me out of the movie. The rest is on par with the first movie. They also do a lot of things right and addresses certain issues with the first Jurassic Park movie. Go watch it with a friend, it's a good popcorn flick.

The big brother was retarded. He was also the most stereotypical. He had a 5 minute speech with his little brother before the final fight.
He changed personality a few times.
He took unnecessary risks.
He was oblivious to the danger they were in. For example: they jump from a cliff to a pool of water because a dinosaur wants to eat them. And then he comments on his little brothers jump - shwat. He should focus on the dinosaur that might still be after them.

Diebuster is a bit sillier in tone but it benefits out of it by being more enjoyable. Gunbuster is really serious in comparison. Also Diebuster is really pretty, that is not to say Gunbuster doesn't look good.

Diebuster is better frankly.

The regular tv show is standard shounen for the most part, nothing noteworthy. It was decent.

But the 4 OVA episodes titled Trust & Betrayal were absolutely fantastic. A completely different attitude than the tv show. If the tv show is shounen then the OVA is not.

However I believe the OVA builds of the tv show. The principles and ideals Kenshin have are a product of his past, and he performs them in the tv show. Therefor to fully appreciate the weight of the events that changed him, you need to watch the tv show. But it's not required in order to understand what happens in the OVA.

According to Wikipedia, a scanlation is the process of translating comics to another language. My first thoughts are, "what". Because that makes it sound like you're going to remove all the English translated manga. All we have left then, are stuff in Japanese and stuff that are done in English to begin with.
