I know people do frown upon going to see someone such as an anger management consultant, but hey, if it'll help, it'll be for the better of personal advancement in helping you reliving the stress build-up.

To be honest, with Twin Combo in modern, especially against Jund, I'd rather my opponent have a 2/2 bird token over them Thoughtseize/Kozileck/Duress My combo that I have in hand, nor getting Path to Exile.

On the topic of Theros, one of the cards that I am looking forward into is Swan Song. So powerful for a counter-spell in both Standard and Modern format. I think it can see some Legacy play as well instead of Spell Pierce.

I can see me using Swan Song in place of my Dispels from Modern, especially against cards like Thoughtsieze and Inquisition. I can also see it in a lot of Standard play, maybe 2-of main-board, and 1 or 2 side, due to the now heavy enchantments Standard.

As the Guardian of one of my most favorite Planes, Inndistrad, she deserves a special place in my heart.

The more and more I think about the Theros block, the more I have come to dislike it for Standard.

I just don't like the thought of going mono-colored, and this block feels like it's forcing you to go mono-colored, even though we just had a very good block of multi-colored themes from the RtR block.

Of course, 2 colors will also be a thing, but I do feel like it's not going to be as strong as for example, mono-black, which has options to a lot of good removal spells like Thoughtseize, Devour Flesh, Doom Blade, Ultimate Price, and Hero's Downfall. I do want to go UW control, but at the same time, I don't see a lot that helps support it through Theros.

BU control seems a bit more stable, especially within the Standard Format, but at the same time, I won't have access to Sphinx's Revelation, Supreme Verdict, and Detention Sphere, in which I believe these cards are going to be crucial to play control with. Esper is a possibility, but without the Buddy Dual-Lands, it's much more susceptible to not having the color(s) that you need.

All in all, I just don't like the direction that Standard is going to right now. Theros and M14 doesn't have enough support to help the RtR block in my opinion, unlike where in the previous blocks, Inndistrad could support out Scars, and M13 helped support out RtR.
