The complaints about anime getting old is getting old. And frankly anime is not getting old. First off whats wrong with harem or ecchi, its entertaining, I mean the whole reason why we watch anime is for entertainment not for any sort of personal fulfillment, and there are plenty of what I label "awesome as fuck" shows still out there, and this season is just full of them, even though I think overall its a bad season.Fate/Zero, there is no speaking how much awesome this show is, this is WHAT Fate/Stay Night should've been, if F/SN looked like this, it would be perfect. Sakamachi no Apollon and Acchi Kocchi have just sold me in the slice of life department, and Sakamachi is not your typical school setting, its in the 60s the time of the Japanese economic miracle, and really captures the image of a Japan economically sound but also heavily influences by American culture as well (obv cause of the jazz), and Acchi Kocchi, is simply plain funny, I don't think I've laughed so much since Lucky Star, thats how great it is. And if you haven't had enough epicness, hit up Jormungand, gun fights, political drama, war zones, what more do you need.
Well said, just enjoy anime, whatever genre it is, match up to your taste, it's all for entertainment, I found out to have watching anything lately, from Fate/Zero to Acchi Kocchi, just enjoy it.

Now that's the problem. I don't particularly have anything I wanna do. I love manga and anime and that's about it. I can't go out and socialize because my working schedule is a bit unstable, it depends on the shift and stuff. I wonder if there's anything worth doing out there for me..... I can't seem to think of anything I would like to do.... Damn, this post is depressing....
I myself was a deppresive person, and unable to socialize, I have few friends but that's just the friends I've always needed, rather than lamenting, if you confused and don't know what to do, so what? Life still go on, maybe you can find unexpected events that lead you into something, if not, why don't you dig yourself in for what you've always wanted? it's hard yeah, so hard, even for some positive and happy-go-lucky guy.. but to find the answer, is in you..
my advice is to keep more composure and find the right moment, everyone was in the same ground as you did, what you chase is happinnes right? go for it.

I would think a job like that exists somewhere in this world. Although it would requires some pretty drastic circumstances for something like that to be necessary and I doubt it'd be as glamorous and heroic as it would seem. For someone, somewhere it might very well be their daily life. I dream of it, but I doubt I could ever live up to it if it were a RL situation.yeah it rarely happens in RL, at least we shared our dreams, and maybe someday we'll live our real dreams.
