Guh, I can't even imagine that. The people I hit got out of their car and ran to me to make sure I was okay. The way I hit my car shoved the driver side up against my left tire/door and they helped pry the door open to let me out. I barely did any damage to their truck, but their truck's bumper ate my driver side.

Damn, I know I get a little jumpy riding as a passenger now since I've had my accident. I don't like the feeling of running forward while someone is breaking. I'm afraid the break is going to be more sudden than it is and I brace myself ):

Haha, FPOD wasn't standing with me, and I shopped myself out of it :) so no reflections!

I got into a fender bender. It was wet out and traffic stopped fast. I rear ended a pick up truck and it ate my headlight.

FPOD and I got our first new car. I wrecked mine a while back and it was so worthless the insurance company didn't want to bother with it, so it was a total loss.

It's a 2013 Chevy Spark LS (no it's not a hybrid despite its name)

Probably my food item that's my biggest weakness is Pizza. When you look at healthy pizza recipes, it can get really expensive really fast versus getting a $5 Little Caesar's pie.

If I'm really really watching what I eat carb wise and limit them, there was one thing that got me the taste of Pizza and the satisfaction of it, but wasn't really pizza at all.

I took low carb tortillas (kind of small ones) and I'd put a little oil in a pan and drop the tortilla in, throw some "pizza shredded cheese" that Kraft has, and a spoon full of diced tomatoes (from a can) and then add "Italian seasoning". I would also add things like turkey pepperoni on it (which is really low in fat, and you don't -have- to get turkey, but it tastes just as good.)

I tossed another tortilla on top, and the cheese binds the two tortillas together and I'd just get both sides a nice golden brown from the small amount of oil in the pan.

The tortillas come 8-10 in a bag, no more than $2, the can of diced tomatoes wouldn't be more than $1, the cheese maybe $3 (look for store brand too!), and if you don't have a seasoning called Italian seasoning at all then you can make your own with basic spices:



You can keep that in a small jar and use whenever.

Obviously it's not traditional pizza, but it does get the craving satisfied and it tastes really yummy too. But you can make really expensive pizza's with wheat dough, fresh veggies and feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and it really not be that much different than a regular pizza. (and a regular pizza is much cheaper - not as healthy, but the cost is ridiculous otherwise)

Maybe someone has a better idea though :)

I mean, the work is exquisite. The person put a lot of work into their craft. Despite it being morbid, there's some dark comedy to it as well. He never "kills them" they're all mythological/fictional characters so they tape themselves back up or just recover afterwards.

Well I hadn't edited Colorful Harvest, I haven't ever done something I didn't believe in. That's not the problem :) it's just me griping in general :P

That's the question.

This is something I get pretty red in the face over, and it's probably because I worked in the scanlation scene, and tip toeing around in the licensed manga scene.

Sound effects.

Do you translate them, or do you leave them alone? Do you subtitle them? Do you subtitle them literally? or do you have an English equivalent?

When dealing with scanlation, we never dealt with sfx because they're tedious and usually not very vital to understanding the scene. Only when the sfx was part of understanding a scene (like a bright light shining on a character and it's hooooooonk!) or something similar did we do anything.

However, working with Project-H with several titles, sfx are a requirement. EVERYTHING needs to be translated in Project-H and I'm fine with that - but what makes me red in the face is that I feel there is a strict line of "the right way" and "the wrong way" and I feel like translators take the easy way out and do it the wrong way.

When LD and I got involved with Velvet Kiss, a translator already completed a script, but LD was an 'editor' and reviewed the script and got to change it as he felt needed. He was pretty peeved that the translator did an amazing job translating things accurately, but when it came to the sfx they were all still 'Japanese' "Zapupu" "biku" "chupu" "zu" - what the hell are those sound effects to an English reader?

I firmly believe that if someone is going to translate the sound effects that is 100% the WRONG way to do it. Anybody can pick up a dictionary and look up those characters and do that.

Project-H gives the translators and editors a lot of freedom in sfx on how they want to do it. You can remove a lot (though if you do it, they expect you to have a firm grasp of the clone stamp and to do it right), you can translate them how you feel they should be etc.

I was going to buy Colorful Harvest because it seemed like a good title, but because of how the translator, editor, and typesetter chose to do the sound effects I don't want to do it. Maybe this only really matters to me because I'm IN the scene and it's something I would notice more - but it's probably the biggest pet peeve of mine in translations.

Yeah, I didn't intend to. I'm pretty OCD, so if they were meant to be over easy, I would have had to fight really hard to not pitch the mistake, but since he likes them over hard, they were going to be cooked through anyway, so I didn't feel like it really mattered if I messed up :)

If it's something he really likes then I don't see a big deal, it's not like he walked in and said 'give me the kanji for happiness, or peace'
