I was wondering about the decision to direct from Fakku to the Store when buying books (books removed from store)?

It seems like hiding the books behind the subscribe wall will limit new people finding the books or even discovering that Fakku sells books... However, I just googled "buy hentai books" and the second result was fakku.net/books which seems like it allows people to see all the fakku offers without subscribing.

Good job!

If you want a mix of styles, try Slipshine. I follow a couple of their artists on Patreon. I would recommend Neapolitan and The Rock Cocks. Titty Time is also decent.

I have backed a couple KS from Filthy Figments. Again, a variety of quality and tastes. I kind of like the anthologies they do, because you get a bunch of different artists and can follow up on ones you like.

There is also Iron Circus which has a variety of tastes and styles. They do regular Kickstarters to get their books out.

I would like reiterate that my comment was in response to more discussion of artists in general, not single threads on requesting book titles. I would prefer people to keep their book suggestions in the main thread. However my quote from that was being asked where discussions of artwork and artists was taking place.

Ahh, my apologies, I misunderstood.

I agree with you completely on Key and Niiro. I like their line work. I think the differences in line work is a big thing that some Western artists struggle with. For example, Calvin and Hobbes has some great line work.

If the lines are all the same width and style, the foreground and background blur. Key does a great job of having a very detailed picture, but you can easily make out the depth of the picture.

I also like Niiro for their anatomy style. Much more varied body types and more willing to go with a fluid look, even if that results in off-model anatomy.

I suggest licensing Love Fool by Kerorin. For that matter, I would like to see all of Kerorin's volumes licensed and translated into english (Note: Stop Quibbling About Love has already been done).

I don't know if this has been suggested already, so I apologize if I'm re-treading a previous post, but would it be possible to base some of the decisions for which titles to license on a funding model? Basically FAKKU would say, "If readers commit to a given property and commit X-dollars to it, we will license and translate it." For example you could set the amount at $1,000 and if readers donate money totaling that amount, then the title gets licensed and translated.

This would allow readers to defray the upfront cost and risk to FAKKU of a given title, acting as patrons to it so it can get an english release.

In the boardgame industry, there is a company which does something similar. They call it P500. They propose a boardgame and if it gets 500 pre-orders, it gets produced and shipped. A similar system could work for Fakku.

Granted there would be a longer lag time for Fakku than a boardgame, because of translation, etc. but Kickstarter demonstrates that people are willing to wait a length of time for a product.

Also, I agree, Kerorin is super-great. Would love any books from them, including a re-do of Stop Quibbling (the Project-H one is not as good as Fakku Quality).

Also, just noticed Fujimaru, how did I not see them before?

Here is E-Musu Aki's most recent book. It was released in Japan in 2018 (Honey Pot Style was released in Japan in 2015). The hyperlink given takes you to the book's page in the Wanimagazine website.

If you want it though, suggest it in the Book Suggestion Thread instead of making an individual post. Brittany...

Thanks for the book link, that is great.

Actually, creating a post is a welcomed way to discuss. If you check the link you posted, Brittany says so, ironically in response to your question:

Yes, all of the above. Anyone is welcomed to make more threads on artists and discuss them if you'd like to see more of it.

New translation, same treatment as our other books regarding SFX and stuff, dust jacket and paper choice... Essentially, we redid the book but with our standards for books.

Cool, Fakku books are always quality. With the KS, they actually used nice paper stock and a slip cover, so it is much closer to a Fakku release. I was just wondering if there were any new content or drawings. Even author notes, those are always fun.

In the original print, there was an image in the author notes that scuttled the first printing (Capcom character, iirc). I assume that is still cut?

Brittany, I noticed an artist I love has alot of chapters:

https://www.fakku.net/artists/kerorin

But is that enough for a book? Or are there other factors/consideration? I know some of Kerorin's work has been published by ProjectH, but not the chapters on Fakku.

Can a series of published shorts be bundled or do they have to already be a tank or collection?

I noticed there are quite a few chapters since Honey Break, is there a possible second book?

I'll probably buy it again, even though I have two copies from the KS.

But are there any major differences between the Fakku and KS version? The KS wasn't bad quality. Just wondering.

I was coming here to mention "I Roved Out" so instead I will just second that. The latest KS book is really good.

I am intrigued to see the promo pages...

This will be my second time buying this book, and after getting my Fakku Witchcraft (3rd time buying), this is an instant buy for me. No question, worth the upgrade from PH version.

The art looked so good, I ended up just buying it... No regrets.

Thanks for info and total agreement about the artwork.

So, I didn't see a big info/announcement page for Milkyway... Is that just an art book? Is there any stories or chapter list?
Smuggins Just Some Guy
Booya, instant buy!

Do you like books in general? Fakku produces the best quality books that I have seen so far. Some Kickstarters might have similar quality, but those rarely come up. The books have a good weight paper, the color is good, the slipcovers are sturdy and well produced.

Love the art style of Masushimaru:

Would totally buy a book of their stories!

Some of the screen shots seem to show this to be a darker release, but I don't see any warning tags, other than lack of 'vanilla' tag. Is this one fairly vanilla? Thanks for any opinions/advice.

Thanks for the info! I really like the drawing style too, so I was curious.
