As for me, I probably enjoyed Sora No Woto more than I did, because it sometimes took itself seriously admist the general moeblob type characteristics the main cast portrayed throughout the series in a drama and war setting. (Kanata: the ditzy, yet hyper and always happy go getter, Kanata: the tsundere, Noel: the quiet and sleepy girl, Rio: the aggressive, older sister and Felicia: the caring and modest, mother type.)
Like Sneaky-san, I too wished there were more Sora No Woto episodes, I must have watched all the available episodes about 3 times by now and I probably want more. I really loved the music and the artistic presentations the series had.
The soundtrack is one of the things that made the whole show for me.
They also based the town of Seize off of a real location

Unless people out there wants to see KyoAni yaoi and they are willing to be catered to, I'd doubt anyone would have the balls for it.
