Man I just hit the part when he describes the reasoning behind getting married to Charlotte. Anyone have thoughts regarding that segment of the book?
I understand the guys problem with pedophilia but personally to get married with someone to stay close to Lolita is just horrible manipulation.

I just walk away from whatever it is and take a long walk, refreshes the mind, gets the blood flowing again, then attempt to solve whatever is causing this anger (aka calc homework)

Most people I tell give me that look, mainly because they are trying to determine when I have time to even watch anime will all the stuff I do in my free time off from work and school.

I would just give it up personally, but if you rely are desperate you could always find one of those visual novels that have the bullshit "everyone in this visual novel is over the age of 18" statement even though they are not. That would be the only legal way I could see getting around the law.

That did not appear to be a rant to me, I definitely agree that the view of a pedophile is one of sick and questioning why people like that exist. Another thing is that an extremely small percentage of those people even attempt anything with a younger child, however those few instances that break the news just create this huge stereotype.

I agree with the point of understanding, that is definitely starting to shine through now that I am a little further into the book. I love how well written the book is so far, even though I feel a little disturbed with some of presented information.

Just a discussion thread for those who have or are currently reading the book Lolita. I personally am in the process of reading this book because I wanted to read the book that started an entire quadrant of terminology, and because I like very controversial topics. So far I am only 25 pages into the book but I must say it is very interesting to read a book based on the mind of someone that is attracted to younger children. I will post more of my opinion as I get further into the book.

I have good reflexive ability to catch blows heading my way however the only area of my body that possesses the ability to fight back would be my legs. Basically I cant punch a hole in a piece of paper but I can kick a man through a brick wall. However my choice would be to run. If you can run fast make use of the ability.

I don't use any software of the type, it just slows down your computer and tells you ever 5 seconds that you need to scan. 99% of the time you wont catch a virus or anything unless you are just stupid, however for the 1% of the time you mess up just use system restore.
