i find that the majority usually skips a good portion of posts and threads to get to business quicker. more power to them, makes for some awkward miscommunication in the end though.

anime is visually expressive in that every piece of body language imposes an emotion or reaction. cartoon companies like disney dont have this kind of eye grabbing animation because they aim for a more authentic human reaction from just about any animal or mermaid or... toy. to me, anime is a much more dynamic medium for todays moral on the go.

the artist or group would watermark their name on every page too if it wasnt already plastered on the front and back of the manga. scanlations are a completely different story, anyone on the net has the freedom to modify the things. if your proud with the final products and their exceptional quality then watermark the bitches! ive yet to see an arrogant enough translation group put a nontransparent watermark in the middle of the page and that would be the only time id consider it intrusive.

after forty inputs the general consensus is pro watermark. the virtue of dropping it for a genuine manga experience doesnt seem the least bit beneficial when you guys are sacrificing your credibility. keep the watermark or have a poll to decide, a statistic wont change the communities well-knit beliefs though.

hardcontact has a point, however. if the translators believe this is for the best then there really shouldnt be any amount of feedback that changes your minds. we might not see what you mean to accomplish by removing them so our judgment may be clouded. just know that whichever choice you end up sticking with the fakku community supports it.

my respects to your values translation crew but i honestly believe you deserve the credit. i know exactly what you mean to achieve with this change and the statement that goes along with it but i guess i wanna state my case.

a small watermark on the corner of the page isnt intrusive in the slightest; its a small symbol of your effort to satisfy your goal and the fakku community. we're proud to have such a symbol brandished on works we view and download because we know that modest translators worked diligently on these 53+ translations, all for the sake of fakku... ok, maybe a bit for themselves, too. but i would prefer them watermarked in the future because im proud of what a community ive contributed to has accomplished.

im sure this kind of positive publicity will be lucrative for the site in the future. with every fakku release viewed the popularity of the site will increase and the advertisement opportunities are sure to grow with it. i see nothing positive from removing the watermarks besides making a bold statement that can be simply defused by assholes that mean to take your rightful credit away from you.
