I have a 3-y/o Studio 15" and recently upgraded to win-7 Prof. My laptop has an integral webcam and my dad's ben on my ass about getting it online so we can test a webcam our relatives in AZ gave us fur Christmas.
I tried to DL Dell Video Chat from Dell's site, but it won't initialize. Clicking on the executable just brings-up a blank window that dissapears immediately thereafter. Methinks that Win-7 and Dell Veid-Chat are not compatible. I DL'ed the driver for the camera okay though.
My question is, does anybody have a recommendation on a video-chat free-ware?

I think you are underestimating what it takes to become a martyr. Maybe if she was pushing revolutionary acts through congress, or was singlehandedly uniting both parties and then was shot, then she would probably become a martyr, but just the death of a public figure doesn't equal the creation of a martyr, they have to be a symbol for something already to achieve martyrdom.

Oh she'll be a symbol. They'll twist her death to represent all that is good about the democrats and bad about the republicans. What's somewhat amusing is she was one of the targets on Sarah Palin's 'hit list'. This is a political nightmare for the right wing, which actually gets you thinking if the democrats didn't conspire this themselves...
I'm just ranting. Good news is that the congresswoman looks to be okay. The bad news is that five people have been confirmed dead, including a nine-year-old boy.
New Hampshire might have done good with constitutional carry, but when I heard AZ was doing it too...Well, let's just say I'm not entirely surprised something like this happened. Why I support the NICS background checks for gun purchases.

I think that the traditional red/blue system is broken. Both Democrats and Republicans are only interested in keeping their jobs and their power. The green party...well, we saw what unionized labor did to American cars in the 70's and 80's, and Morris Motors (England). But on the other side, I believe that business needs regulations, as we've seen what Wall Street did to our economy, and what industry does when they think they can get away with it. (Union Carbide, PG&E, ect...) I think that anyone should be able to own whatever gun they want if they can afford the MSRP, but I like background checks for gun purchases (1993 Brady Bill) and the extra layer of scrutiny on peeps buying machine guns and explosives (1934 NFA).

Been looking for something like this as I want to get all the hardcore stuff Jessica Elwood has produced. Problem is, I've only found two so far. One was off FileSonic, and it's larger than their 'free user' size limit. the other one was on Megaupload, but it was password protected.

But yes, it's that exact scenario that really winds me up. I mean, I have seen so many times in the papers about St George's Day being banned in pubs, or even flags being prevented from flying, whilst the Chinese New Year is a go. I mean, I'm not being racist but (one of my favourite sentences)when the people who moved to our Motherland get offended by our customs and such, and as a result they get stopped, it's just not on.

'Cunt', while okay in England, is a very, very harsh word over here, and only reserved for the most extreme feminazi bitches.
Well, I'm not in general very PC. I see alot of it as BS. Especially here in America, where we are predominantly Christian. We don't want to offend anybody else, so it's 'The Holiday Season'. Nos. It's CHRISTMAS! I'm an atheist, I think Jesus was a delusional carpenter. And I still call it and celebrate Christmas on a yearly basis. Or that school that made that kid take the American Flag off his bike because it might offend the foreign students. This made me facepalm so hard I fell out of my chair. An American school telling an American child that he can't put an American flag on his bike just because it might make some aliens feel alienated?

I'm not entirely sure if I would. If all I hear is arguing...well, they got married. They can suffer.
But when I start hearing crashing, crying, or other sounds of violence escalating beyond the verbal, then I would act. Turn-on the voice recorder to monitor the abuse, call the police. And after they "can't do anything", and the DV persists, then I show-up strapped and try to help the woman.
