There are a lot downsides to anime cons but I think the good outweigh the bad by just a bit for me.Smelly people is a bad one. Especially when they come up and try to talk to you.

Depends on which and who you go with/what you do there.I've generally gone with people who were batty about at least one thing there... which generally winds up with them doing that one thing for HOURS.
I used to care about anime-related merchanidse but then I decided I didn't want whatever place I inhabited to look like a spinster's.
