This somewhat confirms that whole 'This is the effects of war' thing.
Basically the main rumor out and about is that the game is about Snake dealing with extremely heavy PTSD.
But another interesting take is that the game is about a man who is simply just crazy as it is spelled out to the player that everything [the game series]was simply imagined by him and that in reality he is a deranged killer [possibly the real psycho mantis] egged on by a man in a mask. The game happens when his sanity and reality begin to fall apart in the worse way possible.
This might be the game snake actually dies in this time.
Also the 'interview' gave a bit of bizarre fuel to the rumor. The guy looks exactly like the guy that helped snake up in the trailer. If the snake is dead thing is correct, then the guy who helped him out survives to the end of the game. [for the whole 4th wall thing]
This is starting to sound way too sketchy to me. Also sounds a bit too much like the Indoctrination Theory for my taste as well.
I honestly wish the Metal Gear series would be taken somewhere else. Bring in a whole new cast of characters with a whole new story. Focus the plot back onto the Metal Gear, and tone down all the social commentary and batshit conspiracies.
Why can't this happen? Didn't the MGSolid series end with 4? Put some new blood back into this franchise.

Through that time on the island they've shown a bit about him learning how to fight and survive but when does he learn to speak Mandarin and Russian.Though people say his Mandarin accent was bad China's a pretty big place there must be a ton of variants I still hear some British accents and think is that a real thing.
He might of known them before the island to pick up hot foreign girls at clubs. Unsure really.

Here's to hoping this isn't a soul crushingly depressing as "I Remember You".
It;s a story about a guy slowly detiorating into madness with the daughter of the king of the Nightosphere in tow as they traverse through a post-apocalyptic wasteland. If it isn't soul-crushingly depressing, I'd be disappointed.
We would of seen this episode by now if CN didn't have retarded hiatus. Break, show one episode, break again, then this episode...wtf.
