The community on LoL, at least in non-ranked games, is not that bad.

They're usually either really quiet or such, but no one is really abrasive, so far as I can tell. There might be one or two people I've dealt with who aren't 'nice', but I've played a tremendous amount of games of either 5 or 10 people and only dealt with 2. They aren't gonna like, in the middle of the match say like 'here, do this', but they won't rag on your mistakes.

Be prepared to be called a Brazilian.
