Blog reveals nothing new or technique wise to modeling. Just make sure your proportions are anatomically correct and use normal mapping(ZBrush) for the small details.

Nah, our butterflies have depth XD. We've got 6 different butterfly models that will be instanced. I forget how many are in the actual scene, a lot though.


We've got one female model in our story too, but I haven't seen the finished result yet.

Cool, how long is your short going to be? Ours is a little over a minute long and takes place outside in a field of grass and flowers.

My team consists of 6 people, but 2 are beginners and don't know the program that well. I'm in charge of creating the environment and texturing. Probably animating some butterflies as well.

So, the demo is out to the public now. It contains a tutorial and an exhibition match. Liddell and Rua are the only playable characters right now. Guessing they were chosen because of the recent fight.


Pretty fun with another person. I'm liking the whole fight mechanic. Already have this pre-ordered.

I started playing it over spring break, but have forgotten where I am now. I'm not that far as the story is basically trying to find your kidnapped sister still.

Cool, we're using XSI right now. They're switch to Maya once their license runs out thought.

My class went Intro > Texturing > Rigging and Modeling > Short Film. I've still got to take a character animation class and a head modeling and animation class though. Sorta skipped those and went out of order.
