Actually, the Chinese animation is more similar to Western style of animation than "anime".
Regardless, wow, how low can China go? Pretty low indeed.

But is it possible for us to still be advanced, if all the technology in the world were to disappear? To me, this question sounds metaphysical because the term "advanced" used in context seems to refer to something other than our advanced technology. Advanced in terms of what? Civility, morality, independence?
But if I were to take it as advanced in terms of technology, I'd say yes only because we already have the knowledge to create such technology and can replicate and duplicate it as many times as we want.
No, I agree that the Serious Discussion section deserves stricter modding, or at least some sort of oversight that can immediately sift through and weed out the crap. In fact, I used to participate quite heavily in the Serious Discussion, but it doesn't really hold my interest anymore. Posts that actually have intelligence are few and far between. Maybe it's because I've already expressed my own opinions on preexisting threads, but maybe not. Sometimes, it's hard to distinguish the difference between honest opinion and trolling.
Though I feel this has more to with the fact that FAKKU! has very few active moderators, the Serious Discussion section is indeed a place to start for some sort of moderating action. (Besides IB)

+rep, Jacob. That was an awesome reply.

I'm not going to read through 10 pages of comments and suggestions, but it doesn't hurt to repeat things since it emphasizes said things.
In order of importance:
1. Tagging manga: it would really help if users could sort h-manga/doujins through use of tags related to hentai genre/fetish
2. Fixing of known bugs/errors: perhaps the speed at which these bugs/errors are resolved at can be quickened. Things like the auto-login, images section, uploads section, the 502/400 errors (for me at least), etc. I'm sure they're being worked on as we speak.
3. Uploaded material: I think the Video and Games tabs up on top are pretty much defunct. These sections need a revisit, some commitment, and some more uploaded material.
4. Contests: we need anutha motemote, Motemote#3. I love the fights and competition for the most moe girl of the year. It's been a while too.
5. Forums: more moderators, reinstatement of memberlist, more sections for forum subsections for ease, perhaps another FAKKU! rank since we have a lot of Elders running amok.

I eat just about anything that's palatable. My diet mostly consists of vegetables, fruits, and some meat/fish. And junk food like chips and fast food, but I gotta cut down on that stuff.
I'm sure most of us are beyond the "average otaku." I don't do capoeira, but I practice boxing, Muay Thai, and kung-fu, and I follow the JKD philosophy.
As for noodle soups, I love them too, from Chinese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, to Japanese noodle soups. I love being able to eat pork slices that almost seem to melt in your mouth and have a hint of sweetness. It's so hard to get good ramen around the NJ area, though I know NY is famous for having good ramen-yas.

@Mr.Bushido: "Mostly" and "a lot" are two different things, I agree. However, the way you phrased it made me think that everybody here is an idiot for quickly choosing subs over dubs when there are plenty of people here that can appreciate dubs but still prefer subs. Poll results don't reflect that; they only show that the majority of people prefer subs over dubs, nothing more.
And as you can tell, this was a case of overreaction on my part, but my interpretation of your post was reasonable the way you wrote it. What I shouldn't have done was to consider it as a personal attack.

I'm refering to the part where you say that mostly everyone here said, "subs ftw, dubs suck!" My point was that that was a bad assumption to make, especially when you haven't read anything in the thread.
1. Be healthy, i.e. be at 160-170lbs
2. Download all anime/manga that I missed over the years
3. Get real katanas
4. Get my CPA license, make over 70k
5. Get a Xbox and games for it, e.g. Halo series, Bayonetta, Dead or Alive, etc.
6. Get a gaming desktop/laptop that can handle modern games
7. Visit Japan again
As for getting laid/married, I'll be searching in between.

I voted no only because I never actively tried to "get into a girl's pants." The funny thing is, me being me, I end up becoming the emotional dumpster for girls while they end up going out with other guys.
Maybe my sex drive isn't functioning at capacity.

@Tegumi: You're right that viruses attack the software, but I've heard cases of viruses forcing the computer to shut down and reboot or something of the sort. This sudden shut down does sound like a hard drive issue, and I know that cases of overheating, the hard drive has a failsafe system that shuts down by itself to protect it. But if that happened, nothing else should've been affected unless the hardware was damaged to the point that it affected the software. Then again, I don't think we know enough information to diagnose and troubleshoot this case.
I fairly enjoyed it, watching it in RAW and for never having played the h-game. Plot was simple, but I liked the sex scenes, and the animation quality for 704x394 x264 @231MBs was pretty solid. The male protagonist is one of those types that I call a "sweet sucker", meaning he's a nice guy who gets pulled into situations that involve sex.
@lollercookiez: I've got a HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook too, but not only it packs Vista, my version of the notebook didn't come with the best vidcard. Check your vidcard, and I'm willing to bet it's anything but some stupid Intel Family Chipset crap. I heard that other versions of HP Pavilion dv6000 notebooks came with Nvidia GeForce vidcards, which makes a huge difference in gameplay.
@Tegumi: You weren't the one to give me a -rep, right? As for your post, from what AJ27 is saying, he was browsing the internet, i.e. Hongfire, and then the system crashed. Unless the computer was seriously overheating and components were melting, then there would've been some sort of sign that something was wrong before everything went kaput. I don't believe there was a software/OS problem because apparently was working fine before it, so I hypothesized that it could've been a virus attack. And again, this ia all conjecture until AJ27 can give us some more details.
One more question: you are working on a desktop right? Check to see if the hard drive isn't super hot, because then we can rule out the overheating reason. I highly doubt this is the case because most hard drives have more than enough space internally to keep it from overheating, unlike laptops. Also, is there too much dust around your hard drive? If there is, you might want to clean the area with a wet dust rag/towel and make sure there isn't any dust in the hard drive itself. If there is dust inside, you can either get an office duster (aerosol can of CO2) or wipe off the dust with cotton swabs/balls.
And here's a link that I found to be pretty useful (behold the power of google): http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/windows/t-44306-Troubleshooting-Sudden-Rebootscrashes.html
