so long story short, what is happening has to happen and when the transition is over there will be a constant flow of hentai like we're used to?I'm sure Fakku will have a constant flow of their material, but the amount of content will be lessened. You're suddenly not going to have any other doujinshi or h-magazine content coming to the site. So even if Fakku released one chapter per day, that's only 7 new releases a week when you could have easily had 10 new releases a day beforehand. The sheer amount of material and variety of content will be lessened. Even with ALL of Wani's back catalog, that's still a small slice of the printed hentai world.
No, the reason it's being removed is because they can't claim moral legitimacy as a legal licensee if they're still hosting stuff they have no license for. They'd still be a pirate site regardless of their deal with Wani, and I'm not sure how you could reconcile that without some hypocrisy.
Though even with full releases of X-EROS and Shitsurakuen or Kairakuten or whichever it was, that's like 2 out of the 20-odd monthly magazines out there, so the content of the site will be drastically reduced, probably around the high 90s in percentage. It's not just "the majority" it's the overwhelming majority.

And it all came tumbling down. Now we need to wait and see if it rises a Phoenix, or simply remains a sad reminder of what it used to be.
(also, whats the ratio of unlicensed to licensed material on fakku?)
Probably like 99:1 if not more? All parody doujinshi and CG sets are right out, as are pretty much every other work that Fakku aren't themselves distributing.

I was under the impression that doujinshi couldn't be licensed in the west because of the vastly different copyright laws, unless there's something I missed.Original doujinshi shouldn't be an issue.
12/2015: Removal of unlicensed doujinshi content
Seriously? Take your fucking time why don't you. Why can they be removed in a month, afraid your userbase will crumble if they're not coming here for content you don't own yet still profit tremendously from?

Interesting. Still feels weird the society that acts modest makes tentacle porn and stuff like 'Kuso miso' and futa. It's probably all a massive release of sexual tension by delving into the weird and unusual. Hell, tentacle porn was basically born out of a way to circumvent genital censoring, go watch the Anthony Bourdain Japan special where he talks to Urotsukidoji's creator about that.

I will never get the stupid censorship laws in JP. But thank you based FAKKU!Japanese are hugely conservative about this stuff, which is why most hentai artists prefer their privacy and use pen names, and why it's unlikely to ever be repealed. The problem stems from a law from 1907 that's remained basically unchanged.
I wouldn't even give E-Hentai an A+, but Fakku is nowhere near that level. You're too picky on what can and can't be uploaded, there's almost no raw materials and everyone bitches and moans when someone just so happens to go up raw, like they're entitled to every single thing being translated instantaneously. As a scanlator, no one could use this site to get things done, all of our raws either come from private scanners or we take them from E-Hentai, where there's not only more content posted in raws, but by other English scanlators that don't even bother with Fakku. Does the Fakku fanbase even know where raws come from? The tagging system here is limited and rudimentary, but I suppose it's fine since there's less to search for overall.
I can't really think of any major advantages to this site beyond Jacob and co.'s community outreach, and that by posting I link my blog. Or that sometimes a hentai is translated that EroBeat or SubDesu let slip by. I guess it receives a C- from me.
Some points to consider: add more stuff more often. Other scanlators likely only upload here as a secondary measure for people to see their works, where their own blogs and an E-Hentai gallery are foremost in their thoughts. For every gallery added on Fakku, in English, there must be 20 or more going up on E-Hentai daily, and far more in English. I don't care what people post in the forums for DDL and other linkings, I'm talking Fakku frontpage only.

It mostly goes by otaku popularity. A big hit with otaku is sure to get sales, regardless of genre or contents. Something like Ladies Versus Butlers only gets a tiny amount, whereas Kanokon or ToLoveRu got a whole ton. Ecchi series in general tend to not get a lot of doujinshi, despite already having a perverted bend to them.
Kazama Mana. Unfortunately the uncensored version is courtesy of the German company Trimax, and their video quality is terrible.
To help correct misinformation in this thread before it spreads, Japan's censorship laws pertaining to genitalia have been on the books since 1907. If you want to blame America and westerinzation for this, go ahead, or blame it on MacArthur for not FORCING them to change their genitalia censorship law. But that was the late 40s, don't expect most places have openly wide progressive views on sexuality from that era.
All hentai is released with censorship, new or old. If it's ever been licensed or released out of Japan, the unoriginal uncensored version is made available. Why does it seem all hentai are censored nowadays? Because they have not been licensed outside of Japan, yet. Why is Bible Black or anything else somewhat older uncensored? Because they've been licensed and released outside of Japan. Japan's genitalia-censoring laws don't affect their productions once they leave the country.
So why aren't we seeing more uncensored hentai? Because piracy, and because selling 2 hentai episodes for $24.99 is excessive for our market. You shouldn't complain about it if you don't buy anything, that's how companies like Kitty Media and Critical Mass can afford to license and release the discs at all. Want more hentai to be uncensored? Go buy all of the hentai DVDs you can, and convince everyone else to as well. I'm kind of ambivalent on the subject, I don't find censorship ruinous to the product, so I'm not a crusading type who will drop all of my cash on expensive discs.
