I'm not that experienced on that stuff but mostly I picked up things from personal experience and the things I enjoyed, whether it's from the music, movies, anime, games, and many more; it's kind of assimilated together when I start implementing all of the ideas into the story~
But well if I could give a suggestion, start out by taking things easy, don't rush ahead, and enjoy your daily life while you're at it. Based on all of these experiences I had while writing, the inspirations tend to come when you least expect it, and mostly when you didn't even try to think too much about the story idea by itself.
Best of luck =D

well there's some manga work that had already been recommended here lol, I just want to add some variety and it won't really hurt to try lol =D
yeah, I think there's not much of them present outside the writing forum, even at the Art Section, but I'm trying to keep my eyes open for the potential given hahaha.....

I know, but I did not see it was against the rules for me to recommend something someone else also recommended. My apologies if I was mistaken. I already changed the guidelines, so it's okay starting now, as long it's in the same month. don't worry 'bout it
lol, I didn't really have any problems with it as I'm pretty much familiar with all the contents listed =D
it's pretty much the same thing, the Chinese Indonesians just use different words for it lol~

I've made a FAQ in the 2nd post, so this time you could see the potential stories on the Art section being recommended in here. I think some of us prefer illustrated works and it might get these storywriters on the other section more feedback from the literary aspect =)
I'd like to see this being recommended lol, that will be epic~
but really, you guys can give me a suggestion whether I should make this exclusive for the Writing Section or not, but for myself I had a plan to bring the illustrators and authors together using this method

The one I would recommend have to be Sora's Winter to Summer’s ProseDefinitely a interesting and fresh read. =)
it's already been recommended lol (look at the post above) =D
thanks for letting us know regardless of that

well I guess I'll be making an exception (subject to a new stuff on the guideline), by adding your name to the list too
For the January's Recommendation, I would like to recommend you guys:
Nothing to Give by xninebreaker
Simply put, it was one of the most memorable pieces in the contest for me and I'm really impressed on the dedication he put on this entry; it successfully created a heart-warming story with nicely put descriptions, narratives, in addition of well-fleshed out characters with their emotions and actions. Though it was the kind of open-ended conclusion which still intrigues me even during this moment, which made the piece truly memorable for me~
Winter to Summer's Prose by sora_coltrane
How should I say it? The story did impress me with the kind of fresh feeling which I didn't usually encounter whilst reading many other stories; still, it was the intriguing set of characters and the way they interact so well with each other which really made me want to recommend this. Also, it does have some really clever twist right at the end; go read it by yourself to find out!

nah don't worry, as the content was quite meaty I think it would be a great addition to the section~
it's interesting and informative as far as I can read, but much further down I would suggest working on the spacing between paragraphs as the long, narrow paragraphs without spacing tend to confuse some readers~
anyways I'll be reading this, thank you for sharing =D

I think it's not up for streaming on Youtube, though there's the torrents of it provided by a site called D Addicts~
They also were the ones releasing the English Subs of it~
Anyway, it's a kind of a Dragon Quest parody with tons of hilarious elements, that I think will appeal to both RPG and Comedy fans =D

Indeed~
That aside, I think you should watch this show

It's so blatantly absurd and humorous it managed to make me laugh my ass off from the start to finish~
The title is Yuusha Yoshihiko, it's from the second season of the show with the sub-title 'Akuryou no Kagi'

I don't think I deserve to win anything lol. Because I really agree with Gren's post on my thread. He thinks I might hate him, but I pretty much agree with the bro.hmm...I could somehow see the point, though regardless of that, best of luck in the finals poll.
I'm glad that I could somehow rest easy seeing as I'm not in that one, ah the fresh air of freedom xD

Grenoullie is playing Devil's Advocate I think. I do not read entries, I skim through entries, and found a plot twist in that entry and that may not be present or at least that pronounced in other entries. I like the twisted love of that angel. I just assumed that the angel is mentally unstable or she thought that by killing him and sending him to Heaven she can have her way. If you really want me to put down that entry, I would say that I don't know what setting it was initially until a 100 words in, which is early enough and not too late, not that much of a problem.
Long story short, I love acts of madness provided that I am not party or victim to it.
PS: I did not put in much effort to what I write either like most of my work. Xenon said he found mistakes (not in grammar) and I think I know why that is.
lol I think I finally know why you like the entry =)
I interpret this song as a story about someone who takes his everyday life for granted, until he finally realized that his time was already up and he's filled with regret about not being able to accomplish anything significant during his lifetime~
so yeah, it kind of inspires me in a way that the lengthy time of youth might not be as long as many people thought, and we should do our best when we're still at our prime =D
