The con is during January 4-6 at the LAX Marriott, you can find more information about the con here. I was wondering if anyone here is going and would like to meet up! If there are any fellow cosplayers, let me know what costume(s) you'll be wearing, I want to get photos of you~ :3 Also, as a heads up you will need a badge to access the Pool Deck, I'm not sure how they're going to enforce that especially for those with Pool Deck access rooms. lol Anyway, here's what costumes I'm bringing:

• Sakura Kasugano from Street Fighter Alpha 2

• Kiki Rosita from Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team

• Yayoi Takatsuki (Forever Star ☆ ☆ ☆) from THE iDOLM@STER

I will probably bring at least one other costume with me that's still undecided, but if you see me please say hi!! I hope to meet some new people, ALA is one of my favorite cons and it's a great way to start off the con season. See you there! ^^

This. I've been collecting figures for almost 10 years, so I own a good bit. ^^;

As for how much I've paid for figures, most of what I own is in the $50-60 range, while the most expensive figure I've bought was $200 which I gifted to my fiance. I've worked various retail jobs over the years so that's how I afford it, and I'm extremely picky with what I purchase. Occasionally, I receive figures as gifts, or as payment for cosplay commissions.

My other work space, I just cleaned it last week, normally there's fabric and patterns EVERYWHERE.

I do it all. :D I went to two local malls at 10am on Black Friday, and didn't have to fight crazy crowds or wait in long lines. I mostly wanted to go out to buy some poster frames at Michael's, and much needed cosplay supplies at Jo-Ann. I was home before 2pm, then I spent whatever money I had left buying some new posters. lol

I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas (PC version)~ 70 hours so far and I'm not even in New Vegas yet because I get sidetracked doing random quests, and really enjoy exploring the Wasteland... as long as I don't run into mobs of Deathclaws. >___>;

MORE SHUNYA!! I bought Emaretta-chan for my fiance last Christmas, I think the mirrored base and flowing cape is really cool!


Rudy, the top is cast off and it took me a while to track this down, as I wanted the original colors. ^^; Sorry if these photos aren't the best, I tried taking the photos on my desk as the lighting is a bit better.


A bunch of really old photos from 2 years ago, but it shows maybe half of what we own, we decided to switch our bedroom and work/hobby room around one night, so that's why all this stuff is on our dining table. lol Most of what we own is currently in storage so I don't have any recent photos, but hopefully that will change soon! :D Anyway, pretty much whatever's on the top half of the first photo (Shunya, cute shit, and some Gundam) is mine, and the stuff on the bottom half is my fiance's (pretty much all Gundam lol).

I use Winamp for music, and VLC for videos.

The Fatal Frame series, for sure, I'd get so freaked out that I'd scream and throw the controller. lol ^^; I think the 3rd game freaked me out the most, because you're not even safe in your own home! I'd see things move/disappear, and wonder if it was my imagination, or if it really did happen.

I think Rule of Rose had its moments too, though I found it to be more depressing/disturbing than scary once I finished the game.

Canal! I bought this last year, I'm slowly trying to build up my Shunya Yamashita figure collection. I just ordered Friend from 20th Century Boys for my fiance's birthday, the spoiler-y images are marked as such so watch what you click!

I've had this account for a year, and I have 4 pages of favorite so far, I like to reread stuff all the time. I forget I can download stuff, because most of the time I'd prefer to read it on the site.

Aww, were the F! pins limited edition? I don't see them on the site anymore, nooo! I don't recall seeing them for sale at Conji, unless I completely missed it at your table? :C

I immediately thought of Nadia from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water! I think Electra from the Cowboy Bebop movie could work too, or Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena if you're okay with getting a purple wig. ^^

Okay, the cheapest I've found is on Cosmates, it's been a while since I've ordered from there, but it's reliable~ shipping can get expensive, and they're reaaally slow depending if what you want is in-stock.

I'd suggest getting the wigs from taobao (Chinese eBay, basically xD) due to being on a such a tight budget, sellers like FantasySheep take international orders via e-mail! Using Google Chrome to translate the site helps make navigating a bit easier. ^^; You e-mail the seller with the wig(s) you want, and they'll give you the total cost with shipping quotes, just be sure you can pay via PayPal. I really like this with for Yuki, I think it would work as it needs minimal styling. There is a lot of additional info here in the first post!

My ex, who was also my first bf, told me to check out some hentai sites, one of them being e-hentai. I'm surprised it's still around, tbh! I think I was 16 or 17 at the time, I was still in high school which feels like forever ago. lol

I tend to stick with Amazon if they have what I'm looking for, but I think I'm gonna start go broke buying stuff at Hobby Search. Gah!

I used to avoid buying stuff at cons, thinking they were all marked up like crazy, but that isn't always the case. I've found some good stuff at con swap meets too, which is great if you like to haggle, as people want to get rid of their stuff!

Who is your favorite out of the 3, personality-wise, and/or who do you fit better physically? I take that into consideration when choosing which characters to cosplay, so maybe it will help you narrow it down to one choice.

What is your budget for this? Did you need just the costume, or a wig as well? I could give you some suggestions, but I need to know how much you're willing to spend first! ^^

Macross Plus! :D I remember I was in middle school at the time, and my cousin made me watch it with him for whatever reason. I had no idea what was going on, but I thought it was so cool that I shared a name with an artificial idol, haha!

I started doing Insanity Core Cardio and Balance 3 times a week last year, and it took 2-3 months to get to the point where I could do the entire workout. lol I also try to fit 6-8 hours of a dance practice a week into my workout routine as well.
