It seems like some people still don't understand what this thread is. Like I previously stated, post a lyric, or apart of a lyric, that illustrate your feelings/thought/idea/condition etc for the day. I have to re-state this as I see some posters are treating this thread like Your Favorite Lines and Lyrics thread. Please refrain from just posting your favorite lyrics and give an actual short description on why you choose that lyric to illustrate your day.

For the exercise, one problem is that most of the population(at least for the US. Can't say anything accurately for anywhere else.) doesn't perform exercise. Considering how most of the jobs are these days, which most are desk jobs and such, most people never really get physically active.

Hell, look at kids these days. One thing that you can't deny though, as an after thought, is that cows milk is meant for a calf, not for the use of a human being. It may have a lot of nutrients that a mammal can utilize, but how much of those that are meant for a cow, are usable for a human?

And one thing I'm curious about is why do these conversations always take place at like 2 in the morning? Why not at sometime like 6 in the evening?

This was your statement. I can't agree with you because milk is not totally harmful and even is recommended by doctors, and even you said that it's not completely harmful. Compare it to alcohol, another legal drink.

This is silly. Most of the nutrients contained in milk ARE usable for human, even essentials. By your line of logic, fruits are inedible because they're reserve source of nutrients for plants. Also, humans are also classified as mammals, in case you don't know.

Now for the proper consumption, I am talking about proper consumption. Part of how much of that cholesterol gets into the walls of your veins depends on the genetics of your HDL levels. It's a slow process, but it's undoubtedly that which will do us in.

That's not to say that you and I will get heart attacks right when we get to 45 or something. It's also a portion of stress and other high blood pressure inducing things that contribute as well. And if you exercise regularly, you could very well burn off that cholesterol before it settles.

Also, as I said before, all milk isn't bad, it's just the type you drink. almond, rice or any other type of milk like that doesn't have cholesterol.


I see that you didn't read the article I posted. People said that drinking milk is good cause they're high in calcium. While that is true, to me the most important aspect in milk is the high protein content in it. Also, you claimed that fresh daily milk is not good +40 years old as it is high in cholesterol. This is true. However while it is true, it has been encouraged that people that age should not consume fresh milk and drink non-fat skim milk instead. It's just that they're not bright enough to realize this simple warning.

And about your view on proper consumption of milk. Your statement there is correct. However, you also missed one point there, and you put it in your next paragraph: exercise regularly. No matter what kind of food you consume, it is vital to have exercise regularly. And in fact, most people who died of cholesterol problem died because they don't do exercise regularly. Yes, maybe they have wrong diet routine, but it is mostly because they don't have enough exercise.

Lastly, about your view on which kind of milk people should drink. In this statement, it seems like you think that fresh dairy milk is not good. The types your mentioned above are good, only for those who is allergic to lactose, those whose on diet, or vegetarians. You can't possibly ask kids to drink such type of milk. These type of milk do not have the proper nourishment for kids. They mostly essential amino acids and immunoglobulins that is vital for kids and teenagers who are in their growth period, which is only contained in animal milk.

And all this argument points that, it is pointless to prohibit the consumption of milk like you said in your post before.

Like I said in my previous statement, drinking milk is good if you consume it properly. By properly, I mean on average human level consumption. It is a common sense that whenever you over-consume anything, it would bring negative effect on your body, even when it is naturally good for you.

What I want to point here is, the way you explain your statement seemed like consuming milk is blatantly bad for the body. Fresh dairy milk does contain high level of cholesterol, but milk is a substantial source of nourishment and gives immunological protection for young mammals. And while you haven't mentioned this, but of course there are some people who are allergic to lactose contained in milk, but that does not make milk should be prohibited or anything.
