Thinking of switching mains. Tired of being harassed like that only to know that the only option that I have is very costly and readable.

Also sucks because it feels like I spent all this time money and effort just for it to go down in flames. Good thing I gave myself some time to actually browse around the area unlike the Jeju tournament.

Other than that, I plsyed a few casuals against Xian's GF and the other girl who plays Chun-Li. Both very solid players. In general, most of the local players here play very differently than that of the states.

Got bodied bad :( still no fun. I'll be coaching IPT Garrett thou for ultra.

Almost time for me to play SF. Wish me luck.

Made it to Singapore safely (or I at least think so. I have a bad feeling that I fell asleep on the plane and died a horrible plane crash only to find myself in a different dimension...).

Hey guys, for those who may not know, I run a twitch.tv stream dedicated for Fakku.net. I stream a variety of games, from fighting games, FPS, and strategy games.

I need some help though. As you can see, my Photoshoping skills isn't up to par anymore due to being restricted to using GIMP, and was wondering if anyone is willing to help me out create new stream signatures and banners for my twitch.tv page.

Any characters you played feel different from Brawl? For example, does Marth have his Melee range back, or is it still bad?

If I ever do get this game, I'm most likely going to play Diddy/Marth again, like when I started playing them in Project M.

I understand how you feel. Myself along with all of my friends that got me into playing Melee again and Project M are also quite salty about this. But unfortunately, our voice for having stuff like Melee mechanics are very minuscule compared to the masses of other players that just play this game for fun.

There is no reason to not create a game that has depth for the people who are willing to put time into this game but easy to pick up and learn for the casual gamers. I guess that's how Sakurai rolls though. :\

This is why I still stick to my USFIV.

I really like this version of this game so far. Almost similar to when Vanilla transitioned to Super. Pretty balanced, besides the nerfs against bad characters to begin with from AE2012 (e.g. E.Honda and Dee Jay), and the semi-new characters give it a little extra flavor to the game.

As for tiers, in my opinion, these 10 characters are top-tier (in no particular order):

Yun
E.Ryu
Cammy
Ken
Chun-Li
Sakura
DeCapre
Dictator
Gouki
Ibuki

Waiting to see more of Cassie Cage.

After watching the games for the invitational, I for one am still mildly interested in playing this new Smash. Yeah, it still doesn't have the Melee mechanics that I loved, but hey, it's a new game, and I'll try it out before I write it off as a good or bad game.

Sakurai unfortunately doesn't want to cater to the competitive players, and create a game that's more suitable for casuals, so this is what we get. I understand why a lot of the competitive Melee players get butt-hurt, but they've got to understand that unfortunately Sakurai is again, making it more suitable for casuals.

If anything, I'm pretty sure someone down the road will make another version of Project M for this upcoming game, and make it competitive enough to see play.
