More Tales of love for the PS3?! But...but...I haven't finished platted Graces f as yet and Xillia is on the way too...what to do...?
Frankly, I've never played any of the original Symphonia games before, so these would be a good addition to the PS3 Tales of collection released Stateside thus far. Hopefully, the support the localized Tales of games for the PS3 so far may push Namco Bandai to keep up the flow of localizing more Tales of games. I'd like to see an HD version of Legendia and Abyss one day.

When I heard about this awhile back, I was thrilled since TOS is my favorite of the series. Though, the change in Lloyds VA did not do it justice. Nevertheless, hoping for a localization.

Good news. I hope they include the JPN voice acting since they've already completed all of the English dubbing and translation. I haven't played either of these Tales games.

I haven't played either of these Tales games.I wouldn't pray too hard on JP VOs. As much as I want them too, the person in charge of the Tales Serialization projects basically is against original JP audio. Reasoning was;
"It takes more effort, resources, time and money, to put in(leave in) original JP audio, and implement subtitles(which they already were going to do for hearing impaired players), than to hire, audition, approve and pay new English VOs to re-do the audio, resync the sound files and produce awkward mannerisms that are foreign to US standards that would otherwise be noted as typical comedic skits in its native origins."
Obviously, it's not worded like that, but that's pretty much it. The person in charge feels it's a waste of resources to leave in/implement dual audio.
Anyways back to that package;
Really? Ufotable again? I'm going to go already fucking broke because of this now.

We just dont know if there will be a CE or LE of the game. But seeing how Xillia fucking sold out on CE, there might be a chance we get something similar...

Now that you guys mention it, I do hope they keep making Tales of games for the PS4, the series have been mostly Playstation format since the PS1 days. They got to keep the tradition with the upcoming next gen system.

I may have worded that poorly, I don't want to say the person in charge of the entire Tales project is against JP audio, but their first priority over all else is actually putting out games rather than pleasing the fans with special features. The text came from a Customer Services Expert of Namco Bandai EU.

It's in French, I can't find the link in English but here's the text.
Spoiler:
Although, I found an interesting tid-bit searching for this. There's a chance it may have Dual audio thanks to fans request for it. Danny Chiu apparently had this to say.

Spoiler:
Of course these topics talk about Xillia, but the mindset remains the same that there is no JP audio(which hasn't been in any Tales of games in the US thus far), but they hope to actually do so in the future, which I hope they do this ToS because I really did enjoy this game. Regardless of how my views may look, I'm still fairly angry that they truly believe it's that much of an issue to leave in the original audio.

Thanks for the links. I believe that including the JPN audio isn't even a special feature though. The special feature is the English dubbing. The original audio should always be the first priority in my opinion.
Also, I've never played Symphonia but is it true that the localized version didn't have voiced skits?

If I recall correctly, the first Tales game to have voiced skits was Vesperia. From then on, all of them had it. Symphonia (and the following one, Abyss) didn't have that feature, only text skits. Now, I haven't played the Dawn of the New World so I don't know if that one has voiced skits.

Actually, Tales of Legendia was the first to have voice skits.
Also, yes, "Dawn of The New World" has voiced skits in it as well.
