[Anime] I didn't see a Tenchi section, so here it is

I would like to start a conversation about Tenchi Muyo!, Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in Tokyo. This show, for me, is very special and I will always hold it dear. It is what got me into Anime to begin with, and that makes it even more special. I'm just curious if anyone else started with this classic Anime. Also, out of the three series' listed, which is your favorite. What about favorite charactors? [my favorite series was Universe and my favorite charactor was Washu or Kiyone]

All Three series' were recently transfered to DVD, so buying it is actually possible now [and of course, torrents make anything possible]. By the way, it's not on like, twenty dvd's either, just one simple set.

By the way, Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki is actually the rest of the Tenchi Muyo! series. I know, I know, it looks completely different but that's how it was done. I think America translated the first six episodes, then a year later translated the seventh, then two more years later did 8-13. That's where the wait comes in. In 2004, they finished the series by translating the last of the series, episodes 15-20. Episode 14 was a short five minute half-assed interlude that was added as a bonus feature for the Tenchi Muyo! DVD set. Its around five minutes but only has a small handful of stillframes, making me think that we translated the episode but never bothered to dub it or even get all the footage.

Try this site..It's my favorite to watch anime Online...I've tried to search it for you, but it appears that Tenchi Muyo got some series like GXP, In-Love etc, so I'm afraid you have to serve yourself...

Yeah I know Ryo-ohki is the rest of the first season I seen all the episodes already I just need to buy the dvd's and episode 14 did get dubbed because I have the whole first season on my computer in dual audio, and in my book I don't care what anyone says Petrea
Burchard was the best damn voice for Ryoko I hate Mona Marshall she ruined her voice in Ryo-ohki it pissed me off.

I totally agree with you and every time I hear Mona's vocals come out of Ryoko I cringe in agony.

Wow...this is an early one, and GREAT!!
Actually this is another one I have only ever seen dubbed, I don't even know what the sub is like :?: The dub for this one was very good though, so I suppose it doesn't make any difference.
My favourite characters are Ryoko, Tsunami(I think that's her name, she's the princesses little sister) and little WASHU...the greatest genius in the UNIVERSE.

I didn't know there were two voices for Ryoko?? I'm hoping Petrea Burchard did the voice in the first 14... that Ryoko was awesome.
I still remember the scenes when Ryoko attacks Tenchi at school and blows the shit out of everything, she doesn't really want to hurt him though...she's just an infamous Space Pirate having fun...

All sorts of memories are coming back now.
Who was the sexy but dumb as a door Space Patrolwoman with the blond hair and brown skin?? I liked her too...dunmb but her heart was in the right place.
Oh, and she had the weird bunny tail thingy that she could manipulate into just about anything from a weapon to a meal.

I'm hoping that a mate of mine that owns an anime shop can help me with tracking it down. He has all of his old hire stuff going back 10-12 years on master vcd's still and he said I can have what, and as much as I like...he's doesn't hire out anime anymore. They're not cataloged properly and it will take me hours, but I think I can find all of this old stuff there....hopefully
