Stellvia of the Universe

I'm a little surprised that there is no topic for this, considering how strangely awesome the show was.

Show of hands, how many people have heard of/watched Stellvia?

I personally remember seeing the first episode a few years ago, and being completely unimpressed. Around yesterday, I decided to give it another chance, mainly because I stumbled upon something that referenced it, and it's rocketed to the #1 spot on my top 5 Sci-Fi Anime since 2000 list.

Shoulda put a poll here. I've watched the show and loved it. (cuteness aboud!) What attracted me was the fact that the OP song was done by angela, who's one of my favorite Jpop artists. Katase Shima is just too cute!!

I was actually considering a poll at first, so I added one.

I'm quite annoyed at the lack of doujins for it. Shipon/Arisa with the quirky cuteness, Tsundere Akira, and Loli Rinna exist, and yet my doujin collection doesn't break double digits.

I've seen it, it's good. I remember liking it because it had a nice non-rushed and comprehensive ending. The plot and characters are pretty good too.

It's not THAT old is it, I'm sure I watched it not that long ago. :o
