Full Metal Panic! Overload

Sosuke has finally lost his mind - and his memory! Rehashing his previous exploits will keep Kaname busy, but it doesn't take long for the military mind of this soldier to bounce back with a bang - literally! He's locked, loaded, and back to his old self by first period, as bombs and bullets grace the halls of high school!

Anyone knew about it??...Is it just a side story like Fumoffu, or is it in the Actual Storyline??..I haven't read it as well...Afraid of Spoilers...Since I'm still waiting for the anime...

First off, I am a fan of Full Metal Panic!, and secondly, I'm surprised there isn't that much information about it.
Overload is just a spinoff of FMP!, and so it really isn't part of the storyline, just more bandwagon stuff they've been pulling out of it. It's written by an apparently new and inexperienced mangaka, seeing as Nagai isn't credited with anything other than writing Overload on ANN and the art and story doesn't do much. It was horrible considering how good the anime are, and I couldn't bear to bring myself to read the entire first volume.
Fumoffu was actually written by Shoji Gatoh (or however it's romanised) in a series of light novels, so I guess one could say they were unrelated stories as well, seeing as I don't think they had any influence over the The Second Raid, almost like an alternate storyline thing.
TL;DR - I found it crap, it's just a spinoff, therefore NO ANIME OF OVERLOAD. Well, unless they decide to sell out again and keep pandering to the fanatics. I wouldn't hold your breath on an anime adaptation though, but don't let my opinion stop you from giving the manga a go. Can't knock it til you've tried it.
