I hear the manga is kinda shitty compared to the anime. Especially since it's just pointlessly violent at parts.

Yeah, I watched FLCL on Adult Swim when they first aired the series(2003? 2004? Don't remember). It was a laugh riot.

I love Furi Kuri, Fooly Cooly, FLCL, Etttccc..!
I think I've seen the whole series through about 5 times. It's a great show! I don't think it's that random, I don't understand people who say "It makes no sense!" since there is a basic plotline.
I have only read the first Manga though and I admit there are some signifigant differences between the two.

Yeah, I <3 FLCL. First anime I ever fell in love with. Noutakun? That is just my take on Naota with the kun spliced on to the end. lol

Oh yeah, FLCL is a great anime. It was the first I actually like enough to make sure I saw it all the way through.

flcl was one of the first anime i watched my favorite epsode was when they started a gun fight hehe it was pretty funny

Great anime. Most would say its the most "Metal" anime ever. Metal as in the music genre. Whats more metal then a girl beating the shit out of robot like beings with the base guitar? Monsters that pop out of pimples mind you.

My brother and I found the full box set today for $100.00 It was funny because the big sticker on the box read, "Contains all 6 episodes on 3 Dvds!" It is the most ridiculous thing, it's a great show, don't get me wrong, but the prices for it on DVD are absolutely insane. I'll stick to my bootlegged/Tivoed episodes.

flcl is one of the only animes(maybe it is the only one) where there are parts of the manga shown in it and tough it would be kinda risky to do it somehow rocked da house if i might say it like this =)

First time i saw it i was a little confused probably because i missed the first 2 eps but then i watched it all the way threw again and it was hilarious

Yep, of course most of us have watched FLCL. I personally consider it proof that shorter anime are better than longer shows.

When i first saw it, it made absolutley no sense; i was lost the entire time, BUT i was very entertained. If i wathc the eps in order, it makes a lot more sense.

Yeah, very cool show. I agree with some as how hard it was to get, especially since Japanese tv shows (live action and animes) sort of assume you know everyting about the world the show takes place in and just dive right into it. However, I do think it was too short. And they don't sell it in the UK yet...bummer!
