I's Pure

There must be some people here who doesn't know about this since I've checked and haven't found a single thread.
This is a 6 episode anime(OVA) adaptation of the manga. It's basically a romantic drama.
and since I'm friggin' lazy to go over the details myself, just go here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%22s
to read more info about it.
here's the short plot summary(courtesy of ANN)
I've personally seen it just over a month ago and I'd say it's actually good! I was moved by it, it's really tough for me to explain but let's just say that I've managed to put myself in the shoes of Seto Ichitaka(male lead) and felt just the same as he did. There was also a number of funny moments and an ounce of "ecchi-ness" btw.
I haven't read the manga yet nor have I seen the original 2 episode OVA (sort of alternate retelling)so therefore, I can't make comparisons. The differences can be read within the link I've posted above.
With that said, I hope that you could watch it for yourselves and enjoy it the way I did.
Here's a few Teasers:
OP sequence:
I've decided to post the 5 one minute and a half bonuses!
~Don't expect this from the anime, and also, this anime is NOT hentai mind you. What you'll see here are just fun DELUSIONS. I recommend that you watch each OVA episodes first for a better understanding... but it wouldn't really affect either way so...
~pardon me for the Spanish subtitles but it's pretty much self-explanatory anyway, in my case. (since I can understand a bit of Japanese)
I can post the batch-torrent link of the whole series (bonuses included) all subbed in English, if anyone's interested.
btw, Shizuka Itou plays as Iori Yoshizuki(female lead)
~one of my favorite seiyuu~ :D
* whew * I'm done. 8)

Seto Ichitaka has a crush on Yoshizuki Iori, a girl in his class who has become so popular she now has her own fan club at school. But only a miracle could make him be with her, since the day he first saw Iori-chan, Ichitaka has been too shy to even talk to her. This miracle happened and now he and Iori are working together on the Freshmen Welcoming Party. It seems that things start to look bright for Seto, but then a special childhood friend is coming for visit...

It wasn't bad at all. Though I hated the main male protagonist for most of the time (I just can't stand the indecisive clumsy type of dudes) the rest was solid if you're into this type of genre. Nice art and music and a realistic setting.
You probably wont like it if you've read and liked the manga. Too much was altered though I learned it only after watching the show.
Mighty fine post BTW hermit 8)
There are some more shows that I've also noticed lacking threads. I'm thinking about introducing them as well ...

thanks for the compliment. I'm looking forward to introducing more of some unnoticed anime series myself.
I never hated Seto for being indecisive although I admit that he did annoy me during some crucial moments and due to the opportunities that he let slip away...
I understand him because I'm simply that kind of guy.

I''s had a nice plot, the animation could have used a bit touching up, a really great watch.
i wasn't all too happy on how he tried to confess his love. (annoyed)
the ending wasn't all that great either, i wanted it to continue.
but yeah, it was sweet, cute.
Seto had everything going for him, mostly since Iori always seems to be getting into trouble. :P

I saw the OVA and was kinda disappointed with it. I dont kno if it was pure but it was the one where people where meeting up with each other at some island that only comes up during the summer. I think thats the story correct me if im wrong.

I think thats the story correct me if im wrong. You're right about that, that's the OVA, and I was very disappointed when I saw it after I've seen I''s Pure. I suggest that you go download and watch I''s Pure, it definitely is a lot better than the OVA. I could guarantee you that. Even theotaku liked it. :D (it's a sure WIN) and simply forget about the OVA FAIL!(it's quite understandable anyway) while you're at it, try giving its manga a read as well.
I''s OVA and I''s Pure has no relation whatsoever aside from its characters. Don't worry about it. You'll NEVER see that SHITTY plot in I''s Pure! The OVA's plot was really F'ck'd up, I'd tell you that! :x
"Who would seriously invite a bunch of hoodlums in a promised meeting you had with your best friends?!" WTF was that about?! Seriously?!

I guess the rest of my comments were lost, I could swear I wrote more then I'm convinced. :?

this thread lost a total of 3 posts, if I remember correctly.
2 from you and 1 from me.
here's a bit of what I still remember...
theotaku: "I just finished watching it and..."
(could you do the honors of finishing the sentence?)
and "I'm now downloading the OVA..."
I said that... "I'm glad to hear that you liked it." :D
"I wonder what I should recommend next?"
then you replied... (I can't seem to recall anything else)

Fix'd.
I remember now! :o
That was the gist of it. :)

Another one of those male protagonists with a spine of a wet cardboard. But I have the complete manga and the anime series... I'll give my opinion after I finish them both. (Though I already know the majority of plot through ever-faithful wikipedia.)

What I did first was watch the I"S pure anime and then read the I"S manga. As I was reading the manga, the anime helped me visualize the key scenes in the manga. The anime does a good work on elaborating on the key events between Seto and Iori, while the manga provides extra heart warming details and the always enjoyable fan-service.

I can't remember how far i read through the manga but I watched the whole anime (and the OVA) and it was cute and entertaining. the shorts...well, who am I to turn down fanservice, but they were kind of detracting in general (though Itsuki is cute as hell!).
I just don;t get it though...you'd think after the first two times Iori would have gotten a little more savvy about 'model shoot' offers. and why were the bosuzokus trying to rape Itsuki in the OVA?
