Ghost Hunt

First and foremost - you shouldn't mistake this show with Ghost Hound witch aired a bit later.
Ghost Hunt is a roughly 2 year old series produced by J.C.STAFF and if I were asked to summarize it with one sentence it would be - 'surprisingly good'.
The basic concept of the series is about young, carefree and energetic girl by the name of Mai who gets mixed up into working with a fairly unique team of exorcists. The show consists of several, 3-4 episode long arcs in witch our daring yet eccentric group of ghost busters solve different paranormal riddles.
The mood is mostly energetic and not all to heavy though it's more thanks to the hilarious and easily likable cast than the setting. The show itself may still scare you a bit on several occasions.
As I said before although I stumbled on it quite randomly, I found the series surprisingly good. The main reason for my enjoyment is probably the excellent mix of comedy, horror, adventure and mystery (and some hints of romantic interest from time to time) we are presented with, combined with more than solid production quality.
It all just fits together so nicely. :)
Those who liked xxxHolic, Jigoku Shoujo or Rental Magica should find this more than interesting.

Spoiler:
Last I checked the series could be watched here -

- though I believe it should be experienced in far better quality.

FUCK!!!
I LOVE GHOST HUNT! (definitely NEEDS a sequel!)
One of my favorites in the genre of horror and occult! I still remember that I watched this series just before I go to sleep, past every midnight!
in case you're wondering, I had no trouble sleeping afterwards...no nightmares at all.
Probably one of the best "horror/suspense" anime ever created! 8)

@dasiek
How come there's someone out there who shares almost the same exact interest that I have?! (such a mystery it is...)

I loved the opening song of this series. Didn't feel motivated to watch through the whole season though.

Yup, this was one of the first anime series I watched that got me into anime and it is still the spookiest one I've ever seen.
I liked it very much, both op and ed songs fit very nicely(but i luv the ed better),and the weekly mysteries dealing with the paranormal, and the character development that came along with it was great.
Its also one of those series I wish I could marathon 300 episodes of it unlike Jigoku Shoujo which would be pretty much suicide boring imo.Although I thought the last episode did feel rushed,it left me wanting for MOAR(Mai x Naru FTW!!!!).
Thanks Dasiek for reminding me of this series, I think I'm going to check out the manga which is still running btw. YESS!
Edit: Omg they look really weird, I just have to get use to it then.
