Guin Saga

Since its nearly April I guess its time for me to introduce one of the anime that I have been looking forward for which I think is one of the anime which will have a really good story yet will received less attention from the other anime series that will be released this summer.
I now introduce to you Guin Saga.
Guin saga is an anime based from best selling fantasy novel by Kaouru Kurimoto. Its a story about a warrior wearing a cursed leopard mask that is stuck to his head. He suffers from memory loss but still remembers how to fight and the word 'Aurra'
Guin is voiced by Kenyuu Horii-Pain(Naruto Shippuden),Raiden(MGS), Jerry Seinfeld(Seinfeld)

Reasons to watch Guin Saga
It's 125 volume now...
Music by Nobuo Uematsu, any Final Fantasy fans know how awesome this guy is. This is his first doing a full score music for an anime.
The novel have huge influence and inspiration to the Mangaka Kentaro Miura who draws Berserk.
I have to admit I never read the novel though... however I'm expecting something good from the anime. Any other people looking forward for this anime?
Guin Saga will airs in Japan on the 5th of April.

A record 100 volumes were originally planned, but as of 2009 the total stands at 124 volumes and is the longest continuing single-writer's work in the world with total circulation exceeding 28 million worldwide.

I'll be watching it, if only to verify my understanding of the first novel (which I read in German).

Oh at least you read the novel. Guess that's the two of us here that will be watching the series. I really hope the series won't disappoint considering how successful the novel is.

Am I the only who thinks he looks like King from tekken? This looks really good, ever since Berserk I always had an open mind for medieval anime.

@Jonoe: you're not the only one who thinks that that dude looks like King.
@Temcor: perhaps it's a good thing you mentioned that this series is based of the novel - I might've ignored since I thought this was something like Shining X Tears or Tales of Abyss or some other game-spawned anime that ends up sucking, or be an average show.

Reasons to watch Guin SagaIts got the Mongols! Even though I'm pretty shure the Monghols and the Mongols are completely different I'll keep telling myself Ghengis Khan is behind one of those helmets xD I'm serious I'm crazy for Mongolia and shit. Wanna go golfing there (Seriously there is some crazy fucking golf in Mongolia I read about it) and yeah their history (The Monglians) are so fucking awesome! ><
I was about to close the browser with this show because I was thinking "Wow this is some gay looking shit" and then I read "ITS THE MONGHOLS" and I gave it my full attention xD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH I got to the point where she said this is my twin and I go "My ass shes ugly as hell" and then "brother" pops up and I am once again turned off by this show. GAY LOOKING GUYS IN ANIME IS BAD BECAUSE I FEEL GAY FOR WATCHIGN GAY LOOKING PEOPLE BE GAY IN A GAY ANIME GAYLEY.
Actually watching further on I'm still not liking the show... I mean the Mongols are losing to a leapord man... Well so long as the Mongols raise some hell I'll watch it xD Moment they're taken out I'm gone -.0

Watching further on huh? From reading your post seems like you only watching it for like 1 minutes of the episode with a set mindset this is gonna be one boring fantasy anime. Simple, don't like it don't watch it. I see no reason why you have to write something that lacks content for discussion here.
Please stop with the 'gay' comment. Its silly, ridiculous, not funny and pretty much seems like its coming from an immature person for me.
Also on the Utawrerumono and King from tekken comments, let's say reverse it and say they are the ones that sounds and looks familiar to Guin considering the year of the first Guin Saga novel is released.

I watched up to the point where the girls and the leapord man stupidly take the Monghols torches but NOT THEIR HORSES WHAT?! Then I stopped because it got so terrible I couldn't bother watching it anymore.
As for the gay comments I'll continue using them. Am I not allowed to be homophobic? Shows that have gay looking (man on man action) characters makes me hates show. 07-Ghost is a perfect example. The characters exhibit gay characteristics and I have to skip scenes because it makes me hate the show. Really...
This show is animated in an odd fashion which makes all the characters in the show have messed up faces. I don't like the show.

This show is MANLY! He karate chops a bitch into the mother fucking ground! To manly for Harmonian.
The twin brother is annoying, but maybe he'll turn into a badass later on...like in that one show about twins stuck in a forest that was trying to eat them...Or maybe it was the wimpy brother that got eaten...I can't remember. Either or is fine in this case.

Ok, since you kinda skips most of the scene you pretty much watched like 2-3 minutes of the anime. Also there were no horse present when they took the torches, you skipped the scene where the 'ninja soldiers' were chasing the twins.

Whatever, use it as you wish. Still silly and ridiculous for me.

Like I said, don't like it don't watch it. I don't get it why you have to go on watching the first episode of the anime seeing that you already disliked the show the moment it started...

I've Just caught wind of this anime, by merely browsing "on going animes". Came upom a masterpiece of an anime. Was hooked from ep 1.
I'd recommend this anime, it really is good.

I would have uploaded Kanon's My Road (Songs from Guin Saga) today if my PC wasn't acting up...
Anyways, though I haven't mentioned it before, I've been following this since the previous season when it started. While it might not be so special in my eyes, I'm nonetheless enjoying this epic tale of heroism, ambition, romance, tragedy, and whatnot.
Who would have thought that Rinda would ever fall for someone else other than Guin. Not that I'm against it, it just that after everything that she had said and done in the earlier episodes... it all didn't quite add up but whatever. (I hope she doesn't turn into a "two-timing" bitch)
Still, Remus undoubtedly had the biggest transformation yet. I wonder if he's really more suited than Naris to be crowned as the king of Parro; I could care less on who's the "legitimate" successor though I guess there are still long ways to go before either one of them could sit on the throne.
With the recent developments (I've seen only up to epi19), Guin seems to have been taken away out of the limelight which actually pleases me cause to be honest, he's my least favorite character in the series; yes, despite his status as the story's protagonist.
