Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (Inuyasha Final Chapter)

[size=12]I really really hope this hasn't been posted but I looked in the master list and didn't really see anything about it. (And this is my first post so..likely I will screw it up. ^^) I did see a lot of people hating on InuYasha though..XD. Anyways love it or hate it this is a little old news but an Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (InuYasha Final Chapter)television adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga has been green-lit. The anime will broadcast on Japan's YTV this fall (Around October 3rd) and cover the story in volumes 36 to 56 of the manga — the final 21 compiled book volumes. The original staff and cast will reunite for the new anime adaptation. I for one am happy they are finishing it up after you know..The disappointing ending to the first InuYasha anime. The video below shows a trailer to the upcomming series.[/h]

This is a kind of series where you want to finish watching it and delete it right after watching it. 167 episodes plus 4 movies and another season of wavering feelings and weak characters is just bullshit and takes up too much hard drive space. I'll watch it, but unless it's fantastic in terms of animation and plot departments, I'm probably going to delete it right after watching it.

The only reason I'm going to watch it is that I've already put up with so much of the series... It would be silly to give up now. Maybe it will be good, and have an actual conclusion, and all that nice stuff.
But I find that hard to believe on many levels.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to watch this yet. I enjoyed the first couple of seasons way back when, but my interest has deteriorated since then.
Anywho, here's a new trailer:

Ahh thanks for showing me the trailer to it. I'll add it instead of the other video. This post is kinda dead but oh well.

I'm watching this season.
Inuyasha is perhapes the first anime to teach me addiction. Thus, it deserves it's place in the anime world.

The only thing I know about InuYasha is that, with the funky necklace on InuYasha, Kagome could slam InuYasha's face to the ground without touching him by just saying "SIT!"
Oh, and that Kagome is an Ace in Archery, the little fox is female, InuYasha has an evil twin brother, InuYasha turns into a bishounen once every 100 (was it 1,000?) years and that he weilds a katana that turns into a big-ass sword

Thanks for the trailer :D
It's weird to be saying it... but it seems like it might actually be... good. Or good-ish, at least.
So long as it's actually filled with plot and not filler.
And has an actual conclusion.
That may just be me slightly excited to see how the series ends up being in japanese - I didn't start really trying to find subs online until I tried watching dubbed Naruto. Oh god, the horror.
But even in Japanese, if it falls into the same pattern of episodes (something like Filler, Filler, Plot-with-nothing-actually-changing, filler, etc.), it will be the same level of dissapointing. Maybe even more disappointing if the language change doesn't even make it more interesting.
But nonetheless, I will watch it. I hope it gets some good Subbing groups on it though...

the little fox is femaleEither someone told you wrong, or Shippo is a lesbian.
EDIT: Or wait, do you mean the fox-demon-kid thing, or the actual dual-tailed firefox?

Your very much welcome. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not, but that same site where the trailer is being hosted is also having the episodes available on the same day they are out in Japan, (streaming, of course).

I firmly agree with this statement.

Only watching to see the deaths of Kagura and Kanna and what not. Other than that, I hope they make this somewhat enjoyable to watch.

It looks like there might actually be plot resolution, which is something that so far has not existed in the anime at all.
Seriously. Name one main or secondary character that has died in the anime and hasn't just come back to life later. I'll be pleasantly surprised if anyone can come up with any, because I know I can't.
EDIT: Okay, I am officially PISSED OFF.
I actually tried looking for the first episode. I found around a hundred fucking chinese fansubs, and like 20 spanish, maybe some french, I think one was russian and one was German.
But GOD DAMMIT I can't find any english. What the hell is this?

Sorry to dig this one up, but this has literally made my year. InuYasha is my Rainbow Brite (in a weird sense). It's corny at most times, but it was the first anime that I actually watched and got into. I know it was geared towards my kind aka females who are easily amazed, but I fell for it.
I've been glued to HULU every saturday to watch these new episodes and I'm in heaven. I just wanted to express how happy I am now that we're closing up this story.

It's great that the series finally has concluded. I mean, the animation company could've milked the series for all its worth while it was far ahead from the manga, but it didn't.
The result was an anime that was faithful to the manga, to say the least. Having been watching this series in subsequent reruns on our local tv network several years ago made me realize that, like the infamous Endless Eight, some stories have to end, for better or for worse. Sure, tons of major characters have died (even my fave Kagura) but at least the story of Kagome and Inuyasha will now reach its final mark.

Umm... The comic book went FAR TOO LONG. Why, in fact, it woulda been better if it had concluded after the 2nd time Naraku came back. Annoyed at the fact that there is a second "anime" season per se. Money coulda just been used for other animation.

Hmmm.
Does anyone know a reliable fansub group that's finished this thing? The only one I've found is only up to episode 21 and taking FOREVER.
