Myself; Yourself... Another schoolgirls anime!
0
Sana Hidaka, the male protagonist, left his hometown 5 years, only to return recently. Upon coming back, he realizes that some things have remained the same while others have changed. Sana meets up with his childhood friends, but fails to recognize Nanaka Yatsushiro, the girl whom he had a crush on during his younger days, and still does, resulting in a slap to the face on his very first day of school. Will Sana and Nanaka eventually end up together?
In my opinion, the animation and artwork is pretty well done, which is one of the main reasons why I decided to catch this series. Another obvious reason: There are schoolgirls! A major flaw of such genres would be their predictable storyline, where the male protagonist has lots of females falling for him. With the gruesome end to School Days, I hope Myself; Yourself would not end in tragedy. Unlike your typical harem anime series, there are certain mysteries to be solved, such as why Sana decides to return suddenly and why Nanako stopped playing the violin.
The opening theme is quite catchy, especially when it comes to the part where the various characters are seen performing as a band. As for the ending theme, I can only say that it is less than outstanding.
Like every other romantic school life anime, viewers can expect some form of fanservice, Aoi, my favourite character, being one of them.
Here are some screenshots that I managed to obtain from the internet, credits going to http://randomc.animeblogger.net.

Before I forget, the most important reason why I am watching Myself; Yourself would be because of Aoi, a Nodoka-lookalike with glasses and huge boobs. Is it time for me to get a fourth waifu?
Lastly, an image of Aoi Oribe to end off:

P.S. I know Aoi's voice in the series is quite annoying. *sweat*

Yeah, I'm liking it so far. Seems Sana went emo and cut himself in the past. Probably why he left home.
Don't forget about the 11 year old loli they just introduced!

It sounds and looks really interesting, I'll make sure to watch the 1st episode when I have the chance. Thanks for the storyline!

I love this series all I'm gonna say tho is that the old lady creeps me out especially b/c of episode 7 poor thing :( but on a side note anybody else think its funny that certian next episode previews attempt to be dramatic but end up not?

Aoi's voice I'm afraid is far past just being annoying... I thought that PJ Sugar on YTV had a high pitched squiky voice.. but Aoi's just gives me a headache after listing to her talk for more than a minute at a time... :(
but other than that painful voice this seem to be a good series to watch... though I too have watched episode seven and that old lady scares the carp out of me now...

I have to say that the storyline is so-so and the main reason why I am still watching is the old lady and to see which girl sana chooses

The story does seem a little dry so far. Who knows what's coming up in the next few episodes though, seems like it could get interesting. Aoi's voice isn't too bad though :P

The whole series seems to be shrouded in tradegy to me. The whole school-life aspect, as well as the occasion joke or so, kept it kinda light-hearted in the beginning, but now that everyone's individual problems are out in the open, I thinking this got the workings of School Days-like ending...

So this series is over. I was surprised that it ended at epi 13, thought for sure it was going to be longer.
Thought it was decent, I'm sorta glad that it was short, instead of long and drawn out.

Out of all the characters, it seems like my favourite Aoi-chan did not have a side story dedicated to herself. Then again, neither did Hinako...
Personally, I am glad that the ending was not another "nice boat".

This anime is included in my "very dramatic anime". I Clench my fist after seeing Shuusuke and Shuri's father, and almost surprised when i watch the final episode, when the arsonist is finally shown(It's a bit of a heart breaker when i know it) .
