[Anime] Strawberry Panic

had enough of male animes with only cool boys or superheroic guys? want some girl action with only girls in it and only girls when i say only girls? then get strawberry panic =D

Story

The plot of Strawberry Panic! is about the lives of adolescent girls who each attend one of three affiliated all-girl schools which share a campus and dormitories, which include: St. Miator's Girls' Academy, St. Spica's Girls' Institute and St. Lulim's Girls' School. Students who reside on campus live in dormitories that are referred to as the Strawberry Dorms, though the proper name is Astrea Dormitory, named after Astrea Hill where the institutions are located

The main heroine of the story is Nagisa Aoi, a young girl entering her fourth year at St. Miator after being transferred from a different school. Upon first entering the campus grounds, she is overcome with joy by the overall appearance of the surrounding area, but her joy is soon turned to sorrow as she accidentally stumbles down a hill, causing her to be lost and disoriented. While walking around the grounds trying to figure out where she is, Nagisa comes across an older student by the name of Shizuma Hanazono, who happens to be Astrea Hill's Etoile, a very important person who acts as a representative among the different schools and has specific duties that she must fulfill. Nagisa is instantly overcome by Shizuma's beauty and finds that she cannot move. After Shizuma kisses her on the forehead, Nagisa loses consciousness and awakens in the school's infirmary. Next to her bed is a different girl the same age as Nagisa named Tamao Suzumi who informs her that they are to be roommates in the dormitory.

and just so ive said it again =) it is yuri anime^^ but dont worry its not like there are any real adult scenes you will get to see (sorry to crush your hopes guys hehe)

I juts found this anime a couple of days ago, just finished it, and im super depressed that its over... Its my new favorite anime; i got over the yuri factor real fast and just enjoyed it so much more than any other anime ive watched.

I need to find something similar to it.

I've seen the DVDS of Strawberry Panic, I'd buy it if it weren't just subs. :(

I watched it. Kept me entertained and laughing. The setting is almost identical. It wasnt all that great, though; it never really stuck with its main story. But thanks for the rec. again.

The only good part of this show was yuri... I didn't care too much for the show... There were a couple funny moments though.

I love Yuri... And this is one of the best. Plot and all, it is simply incredible to watch and behold.

I have a few Anime Tattoos... I should get one of the characters to go with my Robin and Amon( Witch Hunter Robin) Henrietta ( Gunslinger Girl - Season 1) and The girls from Candy Boy.

This is the best yuri anime. I was going to put a quote from it in this thread the other day but didn't.

Well since it's already been bumped. I actually own the novel omnibus, and I have to say it's so fucking boring that I just want to cry, I think I made it through the first hundred pages and just could not go on. Is the anime any better or is it just as bad?

Not sure about the light novels but I know the manga is completely different from the anime. I own the manga volumes. The manga is unfinished, they only made 2 volumes.

I was going to purchase the LNs a while back but never did, so I can't really say. But I loved the anime.

I have a feeling it's just because the author has no sense of subtlety or "show don't tell", so I might actually give the anime a chance.
