Ladies vs Butlers

Yet another butler-themed anime will grace our screens this upcoming winter season (or later).
Summary in my own words, with lots of help from mangaupdates.com:
Hina Akiharu has a bad-boy image, unlike your typical male protagonist in most anime titles falling under the comedy and ecchi genres. Having lost his parents from a young age, he lives with his uncle and eventually decides to enrol in a prestigious school, whereby he meets plenty of females in his journey to become a butler.
Reason why you should watch Ladies vs Butlers:
- Butler-themed anime titles tend to be comedic in nature... with plenty of fanservice thrown in. (Hayate the Combat Butler and They are my Noble Masters immediately comes to mind).
- A variety of female characters, from ojou-samas to meidos, should be available to meet most fanboys' needs.
- The voice cast looks decent enough, including Mai Goto and Rie Kugimiya.
As usual, some related images, though non-hentai in nature this time round:

Covers of the light novels, courtesy of amazon.co.jp.

Bonus images depicting fanservice.
Last but not least, the official anime website, which I believe in still under construction:

Anyone else looking foward to Ladies vs Butlers?

Curious and Wondering
So with Kampfer out, I was on the prowl for another anime series to enjoy. Glad it's not too far off.
Ladies Versus Butlers! is a Japanese light novel series written by Tsukasa KÅzuki, illustrated by MunyÅ«. Its anime adaptation is produced by Xebec (Yay ^_^), and directed by Atsushi ÅŒtsuki (he directed Kanokon). This one will air early January next year, give or take by January 5.
It's scheduled for 12 episodes , and will be fansubbed by Ayako and Seed-Subs.
Summary:
The story revolves around Akiharu Hino, an ordinary high school student, who lost his parents when he was small and was adopted into his uncle's family. But he noticed his uncle is after the inheritance of his parents, so he decides to enter a boarding school, Hakureiryou High School, an academy that was once a school for upper-class ladies.
He is placed in the school's newly established servant training department, where students are raised to be either maids or butlers. However his delinquent boy-like appearance frightens the girls, who make up the majority of the students. Being unable to get along with the classmates, Akiharu meets his childhood girlfriend Saikyou Tomomi.

Hopefully Ayako will pick up this special and sub it.
If you want to have a peek at what's in store, hit the spoiler.
Also, I think... source of waifus ^_^ I expect a few to grab some, especially the lead female, Tomomi.
I was attracted to this one, partly (about 1/4 of my reason) since it involves another one of those stereotypes that I don't mind seeing again and again - the male lead with the scary face.
Think Toradora, Karin, and Midori no Hibi. That one.
It also is a story I found piquely - a school for maids and butlers is quite nice.

The AT-X channel has tentatively scheduled a Ladies versus Butlers! (Redi x Bato) special program on December 29, about one week before the official anime series premiere in January. The special will feature a special advance screening of the first anime episode. AT-X hints that the remainder of the hour timeslot will be devoted to a roundtable discussion between the voice cast members.Source: ANN.com

@Jmason: My apologies for merging your thread with mine which I started a while back. I believe the search function is still down, so there might be some difficulties while looking for similar or identical topics. In addition, I can tell you spent some time writing up your opening post, which deserves a +rep from me. Consider it an apology gift from me if you will. :)
Getting back on topic, Ladies vs Butlers remind me a lot of Kanokon, which I was a huge fan of. Hopefully, the fanservice in the former will keep me equally entertained.

Nah, no harm done. Sad effect of the search function being disabled is I can't fully search for teh anime threads, and the master list is not that much updated. It's fine anyway for the merge. Thanks ^_^
Also getting back on topic ^_^, it does remind you of Kanokon somehow. I'm also reminded of lots of "guys-become-servants" anime. Hayate, kinda.
And, the Ladies vs Butlers pre-release is out!
It's done by Doki-Fansubs. Good to watch as a temp, waiting for Ayako to sub it as well (might as well keep Doki's if they decide not to ^_^)
Grab the torrent/DDL here.
Enjoy the new year! *drill!*

Watching the first episode now at...
http://animekiwi.com/watch/ladies-versus-butlers-episode-1/
...just a stream nothing less and I have to say I'm enjoying it somewhat.
Sadly when it started I wanted to close out of the browser over and over again but I kept telling myself, "Its of Gambler quality, Its of Gambler quality, Its of Gambler..." and I was able to get past the minor annoyances I faced.
Girls hair is a tad too crazy for me though and it is pissing me right the hell off.
Yeah I couldn't get through the first episode... The comedy of the series seemed so forced I couldn't enjoy it.
I haven't laughed while watching an anime in years but I at least smirk somewhat if something is funny but I was completely serious while watching this.

The pre-release episode was somewhat fun. Good preview, but average at this point. I'd watch the first episode (in linear) to be sure.
Tomomi was like one of those friends with tendencies to be very devilish.
But for the rest, this one fits:

Drill!

Drill-chan was a little too Tsundere. That one chick who just randomly took off her clothes was amusing enough. Failure maid made me face palm. And otaku principal is the only neutral female in the story so far.
I'll keep watching, but I'm prepared for disappointment

I was considering watching this one, but from what I've heard from the first episode, it's likely I'll stay far away, unless the next couple of episodes really turn it around.

"im always cute"
The bishounen vs. bishoujo ratio is all wrong. You're supposed to have ONE lady waited on by countless of ridiculously handsome men.

I for one thought the episode matched my expectations. Over-the-top expressions and personalities are natural in anime. I'm definitely not going to like Saikyo and her evil personality. I can already see episodes filled with humiliation and blackmail.
I admit, the "blonde drill-head" was a great diss. She's easily one of the most tsundere characters I've ever seen in the history of anime.

@g-money: Yep, same here. Even if she's the lead, it's her biggest flaw. Not too many fans will cling on to that. I think the Drill-chan will overshadow her in this one, I hope I'm wrong. Oh, yep. Drill-chan is one of the easiest tsundere to boot so far. But it's often the lead male's job to somewhat help solve or lessen the lead females' flaws. Let's see.
First episode: Somewhere between "Average" and "Impressive". But I hope they tone down the over-the-top expressions just by a few notches. It's natural but not that excessive, but it doesn't hurt the episode that much.
