Kiddy Grade 2 (aka Kiddy Girl - And)

i recently found out that KG is having a sequel made isn't that nice. But sadly the main roles have changed and there is no more Eclair & Lumier in the lead. (I realy liked those girls).
Beside that i foud out that there are 3 movies conected to KG but i didn't see any subbed versions of them if anybody knows something about it please write!

Eclair and Lumiere aren't the lead ???

I still thought they were ... I have seen the spoiler trailer for the new Series but thought it was just to showcase the two new characters ...

Aww ... thats really killed my buzz about it ...

Oh and About the movies ... they're just a remake of the original series ... So unless ur a hardcore fan ... I wouldn't bother looking it up ...

Fret not, I am sure Eclair and Lumiere will appear in the second season as guest stars.

Actually the movies aren't really movies. I downloaded one and it was just clips of the series. It was kind of like a summary episode and if you haven't seen the KG2 trailer here it is.

I hered that one of the movies is a past episode of Eclair And Lumier. From what i understand (i hope) its the story that wasn't tolled. and i damn hope that those two sweet ES Members (Lumier & Eclair) will apear in K.G. 2

So questions as this intrigued me so.
Do we have a confirmed air date, or is it still in production?
If this isn't about the previous heroines, are we sure this is a sequel and not a prequel?

As far as I know it's still in production but I really hope that it comes out soon.

This is so exciting to know that a second season will be made, but im also confused I think they just change Bodies as everyone has hinted at already.

I've never finish the first KG I do not even remember where I left off.

I'm 90% sure its a sequel and not a prequel, the trailer didn't include Alv & Dvergr
It aslo included Eclair & Lumiere in their bodies that they used at the end of the original, along with the new counterparts for Wirbelwind and Donnerschlag... Oh and it has Mecredi's new body too =p



I see where you are coming from ... but since Alv and Dvergr died, they would require another squad in theory.
and on a similar note, the closing image of the trailer has only two of the old squads in it, the new squad & a possile reincarnation of Viola & Cesario

Similarly the trailer emplies that Sinistra/Dextera and Eclair/Lumiere meet their end, in space.

But for update on KG2

It was re-announced ... about 2 months ago actually.
Under the new working title, Kiddy Girl, and with a new manga adaption : Kiddy Girl-and Pure.

The new looking Characters are actually new characters; Ascule and Que Feuilles, and the series is set two star centuries further into the future (SC 0379).

The anime is now being produced by studio Satelight (with no release date known as of yet), & the manga version is being serialized in the Comp Ace magazine, as of a week ago (26/03/09).

I'm looking forward to this, I'm really surprised that it took them this long. :?

There also seems to have been role reversal since the original Gonzo pre-releases. Ascule being the dominant one now, whereas Que Feuilles now being seen as the submissive one. Unlike the original roles mirroring their look alikes of Eclair & Lumiere. Not to mention Ascules re-design aesthetically from the Gonzo original.

Well, if there is indeed a second season coming out I need to hurry up watch the first. It was always on my list of animes I need to watch, but never got around to it. :shock:

This topic deserves a big bump because Kiddy Girl-And should be airing this season. I have seen torrents of the first episode, but I don't think any major fansub group has picked up the project so far.

In any case, Kiddy Girl-and will be on my must-watch list, just for old times sake. Rumour has it that Gonzo is no longer around and some other animation studio has picked up the above title.

It's being produced by Satelight (same people who are doing Shugo Chara, etc.), based on a story by gímik.

I've been looking forward to this series ever since I've heard of it, I'm kind of sore about the small amount of detail that has been given revolving the characters of the previous series (aside from a few) since a few are missing from the cast list (even though they appeared in the pilot), so it begs the question if they're just cameos or missing from the series at all. Nonetheless I'll be looking forward to the sub, if anyone is good enough to pick it up, since I feel that the first series could've been done better but was still very enjoyable. The new characters are at least promising.

Keep a look out for the manga as well.
