Bungaku Shoujo
0
Based on a Light Novel series by Mizuki Nomura, adapted by Production I.G.
The "mysterious school comedy" centers on the unusual members of a high school literary club. TÅko Amano, a high school senior who calls herself the "literary girl" as the club president, is actually a supernatural creature (yÅkai) that devours stories — she tears pages from books to munch on them. Her club subordinate is Konoha Inoue, a second-year high school boy who writes stories every day for Amano to eat. He once wrote an award-winning novel, but he wrote it under the penname Miu Inoue so readers thought the author was a mysterious 14-year-old bishÅjo novelist. The stress from the novel's fame and its movie and television drama plans turned Inoue in an introverted recluse.
The film will open in Japan during next year's Golden Week, the string of holidays that stretches from late April to early May.
Cast of Seiyuu /as/ Characters:
[size=11]Kana Hanazawa /as/ TÅko Amano
Miyu Irino /as/ Konoha Inoue
Aki Toyosaki /as/ Chia Takeda
Asami Shimoda /as/ Kurara Mori
Daisuke Ono /as/ Kazushi Akutagawa
Mamoru Miyano /as/ Ryūto Sakurai]
Nana Mizuki /as/ Nanase Kotobuki
Shizuka Itou /as/ Maki Himekura[/h]
3 anime series come to mind:
* Kimi ni Todoke - P I.G's currently ongoing romantic manga-to-anime adaptation
* Aoi Bungaku - an animated series based on a number of famous Japanese literary works
* Natsume Yuujinchou - ...granny's book containing the names of all sort of spiritual beings she's defeated

Curious and Wondering
Now this one is slightly unique - literally eating literary works? LOL
But I'm piqued by the plot (also after seeing the trailer). I'm looking forward to watch this next year.
Thanks for the heads-up ^_^

I read the manga and it's pretty good. I had no idea it was getting an anime adaptation. Definitely looking forward to it.

Just watched the movie from Doki fansubs. Seriously, that movie was awesome. So sad though, I don't think I quite got the ending as well.
I read the first novel thanks to Baka-tsuki translations, however I was waiting for the second novel to be translated (actually being released in Canada around January).
My question is: Is this the ending of the Bungaku Shoujo series from the novel story; or is it a completely new setup (stand alone type of movie).
I'm seriously stoked, the story was quite awesome but the ending was so powerful. It's been a while I hadn't seen an ending with such an impact.
Don't open the spoiler seriously... If you do you're getting spoiled for real.
